RCMA No Color Powder Review India

in Face, Powder on 22/09/17

I finally managed to make up my mind on this insanely hyped product- RCMA no color powder!

RCMA no color powder review India

Product description:

RCMA Loose Powders are a staple in the industry and should be a part of every pro makeup artist’s kit. RCMA Powder will keep your foundations set and dry without β€œcaking.” Our No-Color Powder can be used for all powdering purposes. Since it has no filler or pigment it will not alter the color of foundation bases.

My experience with RCMA no color powder:

RCMA no color powder review

RCMA no color powder has a very basic packaging- a plastic bottle with a flip-flop cap. The cap shuts properly after every use. I’m not a fan of the giant holes which lead to product wastage. I always have to borrow a lid from my other loose powders to use it.

The texture of this powder is not the smoothest I have ever used. I don’t think I would have been saying this had I not tried Laura Mercier translucent powder. That one has such a super soft texture that no powder feels the way it does. Anyhow, it does the job effectively- sets makeup. That’s it!

I wonder why it’s so insanely hyped. It definitely has a tendency to leave white cast on a dark skin tone and leave skin looking dry if you’re opting for baking as is the case with the other makeup powders. There’s nothing phenomenal about it.

I have used it for baking purpose on my under-eye area and it did a perfect job without looking cakey. Please note that as per my preference, baking lasts for a maximum of a minute or two. Does it work? Like a charm! My concealer hardly moves throughout the day. I use Lotus herbals alphamoist moisturizer to prep my eye area. On days I don’t bake it (which means almost daily), I apply the powder using a damp beauty blender and I’m sorted.

As for oil control part, it’s okay. I have used this powder on my mom too who has a dry skin type and I’m happy to say that it neither adds more texture nor looks drying.

RCMA no color powder works amazingly well for the price it comes at. But I have to say that if you’re buying it with the intention of not ending up with a dry face after baking, you may be disappointed. I know it doesn’t make any claim but just so you know, it has low oil-control property on my oily skin.
