My experience with Maybelline color jolt intense lip paint

Maybelline color jolt intense lip paint comes in a small tube which holds 5ml product. It has a fuzzy cushion applicator which makes it easy to spread the product on lips without the need of any additional tool. I squeeze the tube only when I have brought the applicator close to my lips as I don’t want any mishaps happening.

A little goes a long way- like a paint! I own the Sleek pout paints too and I haven’t been able to finish them. So, unless you plan on using these ones on a regular basis, I doubt the quantity aspect will matter for you.

The color applies evenly, smoothly and the applicator helps give a flawless application every time. Since the formula is very pigmented, make sure to start with just one dollop and then, go for more if required.

The texture of Maybelline color jolt intense lip paint is comfortable. It doesn’t dry out the lips in this hot weather but doesn’t moisturize them either. If you have dry lips in general, you might find yourself licking your lips or reaching for a balm after some 3 hours.

Initially, it has a slight sheen to it but sets to a ‘soft-focus’ matte finish within some minutes. I like to blot twice with a tissue to make it stay for long. Both the shades hold well with light snacks and drinks  but I definitely need a re-application after having a proper meal. Not an issue. Both of them leave a light stain behind, so removal is pretty easy.

Exfoliating well before wearing it won’t hurt as it can draw attention to dry patches.

Maybelline color jolt intense lip paint swatches India

Maybelline color jolt intense lip paint 06, Vamp red: A rich red that should suit a variety of skin tones. I don’t plan on wearing it full coverage but as a stain on my lips and cheeks. For cheeks, I will mix it with some primer and apply. I talked about this amazing trick when I did a post on how to wear lipsticks as blush.

Maybelline color jolt intense lip paint 07, Vanity violet: A beautiful purple pink.

I will update the post with lip swatches as soon as Delhi receives sunshine. Not minding the beautiful weather at all though *_*

Summary:

If you don’t like super drying liquid lipsticks but still want a long-lasting matte lip product sans the high maintenance, do check out Maybelline color jolt intense lip paint. It offers the pigmentation of a lipstick and long lasting ability of a lip tint. I hope Maybelline introduces more shades in it.
