My experience with Sephora waterproof eye pencil 12hr wear 24 Surfer Babe:
Packaging: Sephora waterproof eye pencil comes in a sharpenable form. So, there’s bound to be some product wastage. It has a black-coloured body but with a colour-coded end to help you identify the shade easily.
Texture: It has a very soft and buttery texture. It glides on eyelids without any tugging.
Shade: Sephora waterproof eye pencil 12hr wear Surfer Babe is a peacock blue shade.
Pigmentation: It has a rich color payoff as it goes opaque in one swipe only.
Staying power: So disappointing! I have tried 3 shades from this range and all of them stay on for long hours on my oily eyelids. But this one smudges like crazy. Although it doesn’t transfer to my crease area, it stains very badly from the corners of my eyes. That is such a pity because the shade is gorgeous and I had an eye makeup look with it in mind. It’s a far cry from being a waterproof eyeliner. Even removing it is a task because of the stain it leaves behind. Not a pretty sight at all!
I hate it when the performance of a range isn’t consistent with different shades. Usually, I do an eyeliner test before buying. But since I already bought 3 and loved them, I assumed even this one would be nice. Argh!
Summary:
Sephora waterproof eye pencil 12hr wear Surfer Babe is a disappointment. Unlike the other shades in this range, this one isn’t long-wearing at all. Next time I decide to buy colored gel eyeliners in India, I will go with Maybelline New York drama gel lasting liner.
