L’oreal has done it again! It has again made a drugstore foundation which has exceptional quality. I can say that because I have a super oily skin and if a base can stay on it for an entire day without transferring, it’s miraculous! Say hello to L’oreal Infallible 24hour foundation which is one of the best foundations for oily skin in India.
My experience with L’oreal Infallible 24hour foundation:
I am already a fan of its true match foundation. L’oreal Infallible 24hour foundation comes in a glass packaging and the pump works perfectly. The shade name is mentioned at the top of the red colored cap.
The shade name and number is the same as that of the L’oreal true match foundation I own. However the tragedy is that the shade isn’t the same as L’oreal true match and is a bit darker than that. It’s also more warm. It isn’t really a bummer as after my entire makeup is done, it’s okay. I ordered this shade online as I thought it would be same and it isn’t. That’s disappointing!
Moving on, the texture is beautiful. It has a creamy consistency and blends in completely with a few pats. Given the long wearing property of this foundation, I am glad that it doesn’t dries off quickly. There’s a decent time to blend it properly. It doesn’t feels dry on the skin at all. My cheeks sometimes can be really dry and oily at the same time. The foundation still works nicely. It has a medium coverage which is nearly build-able to a full one. It hides my acne scars and redness sto a major extent.
Coming to its claim of being ‘infallible’, yes, it is! L’oreal Infallible 24hour foundation wears for really long on my super oily skin. I have danced and danced with it on and it moved just a bit. I can see production of oil on my skin forming much later with it. Even if it does, I just use a blotting sheet and I am sorted. It gives a matte finish with a tiny bit of sheen. I have to use loose powder upon it to extend the wear time and take off that bit of gleam. There’s no heavy or uncomfortable feeling with it on my skin. Yes! It’s light-weight too!
One thing I have to mention is that I noticed that the foundation oxidizes very minutely as the hours pass by. Therefore, I think it’s better that you buy a shade lighten than your skin tone. I anyways buy a shade lighter because of my super oily skin. In summers, I might purchase another bottle of it with my exact shade. Anyhow, moving on; I like L’oreal Infallible 24hour foundation even better than True match. It’s a stunner! Given the price tag it comes at, it’s a steal. If you’re after a great drugstore foundation for oily skin, give this a try.

When it comes to choosing a shade for base products, never rely on someone’s suggestion on an online basis. A shade which may look like a perfect match can look ghastly after some minutes due to the oxidization process. Here’s what I suggest though: Wear both the shades on your face and carry on with your usual shopping. Check your face in natural lighting after some hours and decide the best one for yourself.
