Ponds White Beauty BB Cream Review – The Whitening Saga Continues..

in Face, Foundation, Makeup on 05/06/13

It’s always weird when you go to your friend’s house, only to find her having an argument with her mother. In tough times like these, you can either sit staring at the blank wall as if it has some exquisite painting or maybe, just go to another room and try her beauty stuff. This is how I landed on this bb cream. I liked it and bought one for myself too.

And, I’m so glad to have brought this. So, a glass of cheers for my friend for having an argument at just the right time. *Covers her head with a helmet lest the gloss is thrown on my head itself*
To start with, Ponds BB Cream works only on the outside and not on the inside. A dusky beauty friend of mine has been using from past one month and only with the intention of using it as a simple tinted moisturizer. Nothing else! The shade has got a lot of yellow undertones and it will suit fair-medium skin tones quite nicely. Though, for very fair skinned people, this shade may not work so nicely.
–        Ponds white BB cream has a fairly thick texture, but it spreads really easily.
–        The coverage is medium. It kinds of fills in my pores. I love it mainly because of this. The finish is really smooth.
–        I’m having oily-combination skin these days and I was in quite a hell of humidity when I was wearing it. At some 3 hours, my skin felt oily but not like an oil factory. Without blotting, I wore it for further 2 hours but I was quite fine. The feeling of oilyness on my T-zone was definitely there.
In air conditioned environment, it works beautifully on my skin. I don’t need to blot for 5-6 hours.
–        This will work for oily skinned people only if they are in an AC environment.
–        The finish is semi-matte and you can definitely see a glow on your face.
–        It covers my acne scars really well, though not fully. But the final look is really presentable.
–        It does not transfer.
–        It comes with SPF 30 and PA++ protection.
–        It’s quite moisturizing for my combination skin.
–        Only one shade is available. Sigh!

Ponds BB Cream is going to be my winter foundation since in winters, I don’t have to worry about my skin getting oily and the medium coverage and smooth finish makes it my favourite.

      Hey Namrata,
A friend of mine who has a NC40 skin tone uses this in small quantity and it works for her. If you apply too much, it’s going to look white. So, if your aim with this is to get a medium coverage on NC40 skintone, it’s not going to work. If you’ve an oily skin and most BB creams/ foundations oxidize on you, it can work.

      Complications 😛

Try getting the smaller variant first. It costs Rs. 80 🙂
