Bourjois flower perfection translucent smoothing primer review

in Face, Makeup, Primer on 16/02/15

I had bought this primer in summers and after enough testing, I’m ready to pen down my thoughts on it.

Product description:
Bourjois Claims: Correcting Airbrushed action for an instantly beautified complexion! The first step of your make-up routine for a smooth beautified complexion! Our compact, translucent primer evens out and refines the skin’s texture, hides pores, blemishes and fine lines, leaving the skin looking flawless. Its soft texture and airbrush finish leaves the skin silky and smooth and beautified! To be used alone or before applying a foundation for an easier application and long-lasting hold. And it’s good for my skin:
  • Non-pore blocking, oil-free formula.
  • Enriched with wild azalea extract to protect cell’s youth.

Here are my thoughts on it:
–            Bourjois flower perfection smoothing primer comes in a round plastic jar. The packaging is adorable. It is travel friendly since it is small and light-weight. I always use a hand sanitizer before my makeup routine, so I don’t use a spatula for taking the product out of the jar.
–            It has a powdery like consistency but very smooth. No ingredients list is mentioned but by the smooth touch of it, I think silica is present in it.
–            Foundation literally glides on it!
–            It mattifies and definitely helps minimize the look of my open pores. The trick is to apply it in a circular motion instead of rubbing it.
–            I wouldn’t suggest it for dry skin type as it’s quite a dry formula.
–            It’s an oil free formula. But my super oily skin started shining just after an hour, even with this beneath. But judging by how it kept my face turning dull sooner than on usual days, I like it. I have oily skin even in winters! Just now an oil slick like in summers. For normal-oily skin, this should work good in oil control part.
–            It is non-comedogenic.

Price: Rs.710
Quantity: 7ml
VCB Rating: 3.75/5
It is a good primer to own if you are just starting with one or you are looking for a product to minimize your pores.  However, if you have more than oily skin, you might want to test it first.
*Do you have a super oily skin? I’m talking about oily skin after 30 minutes of washing face! Any product you swear by? Please do share*

I do have super oily skin just like u Heens. Revlon photoready primer worked pretty nicely on my skin. ( If i want my foundation to last reeeally long i rub an ice cube on my face, pat dry n then use d primer) Loreal base magique was not bad either. Hav u tried the loreal one? If yes, then how does it compare to this Bourjois one? Am askin coz this has been on my list for a while n am thinkin of gettin it nxt. Jus wanna make sure its worth a purchase 🙂
    Nice review dear

I am using the Colorbar primer and it is pretty good at oil control, although I can't say how it will fare for you coz my skin is not that oily! Maybe you should try an effective moisturizer

Revlon Primer has been on my list for so long! Thanks for the reminder. I'm going to buy it soon.
Yes, I have the L'oreal one too. It makes makeup long last by a lil more time but not drastically. Although it covers pores really well!
For my super oily skin, Laura Mercier primer, MUFE foundation and powder technique work real well.

Oh! I totally forgot about the ice technique! I'm gonna try it again now. Thanku so much, Nafisa! 😀

This looks like a decent primer but it wont work for my dry skin.. I used the revlon photoready adn it did a great job.. though it wont be able to control oil for long but gave a smoother foundation application that held strong for hours!! 🙂

I Wouldn't As It's on Drier Side.. Have You Tried The Laura Mercier Primer? It's Super Good!
Also, L'oreal Base Magique n Colorbar Should Work For Your Skin Type
