Say hello to the gorgeous lady in town!

in Lips, Lipstick on 20/07/14

Say hello to Shanaya!
Yes! The pretty looking lady you see on the lipstick tube, her name is Shanaya!
Finally, I was able to get my hands on this new collection of Streetwear. I brought 5 products and I’m starting with the review of this one.

Product description:
Give your lips a smacking look courtesy this lipstick from Streetwear. This rich matte lip colour gives the lips a soft and supple appearance, while keeping them nourished. It glides on smoothly and gives the lips a soft and supple appearance.
My experience with this lipstick:
As you can see, the packaging is so fun. Plus, they have different names for the different cartoon girl images. The cap shuts tightly every time and it’s transparent from the top, so you can easily identify the shade among your other lipstick lots. I just wish the tube length matched the bullet length. I keep thinking how I might hit the bullet with the cap.

Moving onto the quality, it has me amazed. The texture of the lipstick is smoothand glides on easily onto the lips without any tugging. It doesn’t even feel heavy. It has a semi matte finishbut doesn’t have a stiff texture. For people having dry lips, it would not hurt to use a lip balm underneath. That said, it does not cling to the dry patches on the lips.

It smoothes out the lip lines and even upon swiping multiple times, the finish does not gets patchy! Even with the passage of time, it does not start to settle into lip lines. The shade is such a pretty combination of coral and brown. It brightens up the face so nicely but doesn’t look stark at all. It’s a very easy everyday bright lipstickto carry.

The pigmentation builds to full coverage in two swipes. I’m also glad that the bullet is not prone to being so soft that it melts down. On its own, it stays for 3 hours with little fading. I expected it to stay for 1.5 hours at the most. With snacks and drinks in between, it fades off but in an uneven manner. That’s the only turn off for me in this lipstick but for the price it comes at, I’m not complaining. The quality is great over all.

Price: Rs.180
Quantity: 3gm
VCB Rating: 4.9/5

In short, I love this lipstick! The packaging and quality is really amazing. There are a lot of shades to choose from and a mix of different finishes. I really wish they introduce more matte and creamy shades in this range and Ooh! Sheer finish too! Nice Peachy shades too!  Kyuki yeh dil maange more.. *_*

And, this too makes its place in “Rs.300 and under good Indian makeup products”

Gosh! I loved this color. I actually have used these lipsticks during the Revlon event where they did an exclusive preview for us. Since then I was waiting this line to get launched soon. 🙂
