Three Products I Regret Buying

in Makeup, Others, Random on 24/12/13

Sakamichi Paris Ice Black Perfume Spray – When I smelled this in store, It smelt so nice. Plus the packaging was so cute, So, I brought it. But when I used it after some 3-4 days, only air came out and I could detect no fragrance! I shook the bottle many-a-times and I could only hear the sound of the liquid in the bottle. Sigh! Price: Rs.180 for 150ml

Aaranyaa “Honey and Oatmeal” Face Pack– This face pack was a nightmare!! First, I hardly use face packs, only in summers, does the frequency of using them increase. Second, I don’t apply them unless I have read the whole ingredients list. But I applied this face pack without reading the ingredients list because my movie was going to start soon and I hurriedly applied this. It got delivered to me on that same day. I was so engaged in watching it that only after 5 minutes, I could realize that there was a little stinging sensation going on my face. I ran at my top speed and washed it all off. My face was entirely redleaving the eye area. I hurriedly washed my face with a face wash, applied ice and applied my strong medicated creamand I still got 3 big pimples the next day. But I’m thankful nothing more happened than that. I strongly feel that it was due to the “Citric Acid” ingredient. That ingredient has never suited my super sensitive skin. If you are okay with face packs that give a little tingling sensation and think they work better this way, you may try it. Price: Rs.175 for 100gm
Luv Indiya Sandalwood Face Pack– Plain sandalwood and plain multaani mitti face packs are what suit my skin best. But when I entered their store in CP (Delhi), there were quite a lot of skincare, haircare and bath products. I picked this up because my HG Sandalwood face pack had finished. Or let’s just say that I was tempted! I applied this face pack mixed with Patanjali’s rose water (The only rose water I love, not like I have tried all :P) and it gave a nice cooling sensation. But when the time to wash it off came, the ordeal started! When I was washing this face pack, I could feel little harsh granules being washed off my face. It felt like I was washing a scrub! I still can’t get this logic. For face, I only use exfoliators. Scrubs don’t have a good tuning with my skin. It was such an irritating feeling removing this face pack plus scrub. Needless to say, I had two pimples and little bumps on my face the next day! Price: Rs.275 for 100gm

Lessons Learnt: Always do two patch tests on face before using any face pack/cream. One on a little portion of forehead and other on a little portion of cheek.Β

Yesterday, I did something miraculous! IP University’s papers are so tough to give. Not because the pattern is different every time, but because my hands literally break filling out the sheets especially since I don’t have a big handwriting. And, the quantity of sheets matter the most while giving papers here but yesterday, I handed out my paper with a broad smile on my face since only two sheets were left blank!! I’m sure the teacher had a mini heart attack when she saw me flashing all my 32 teeth out o__o
