Lakme Eyeconic Kajal “Grey” and “White”: Review, Swatches, EOTD

in Eyeliner, Eyes on 30/12/13

Trust Lakme to come up with new products every now and then and you won’t be disappointed! And this time, most wouldn’t be disappointed since the price tag is so affordable.. Ok! Let me just say that these are affordable lest Lakme does a price hike for these!

I have loved both of these very much. Why?
–            These eyeconic kajals have a very smooth texture and glide on the lids easily without tugging them.
–            They didn’t sting my waterline at all. I haven’t tried them with lenses on, so would update the post when I wear them with lenses.
–             Both of these have very nice pigmentation. I wouldn’t say great since to get a rich color payoff, I need to swipe 3 times.
–            One can easily smudge the gray one for a smokey look.
–            The best part is the staying power. I have oily eyelids and I need to powder my lid area everytime when wearing a pencil eyeliner, since it transfers to the crease area. But I didn’t powder my lids this time and the kajal did not transfer at all to the crease area! The white kajal stays on my waterline with little fading for more 3 hours and after that, there are still traces of it..Me Likey!
–            Since I have water eye corners, the “gray” one smudges just a little at the corners (like you know, “ittu sa”!)
–            These are affordable!
–            And, these really are waterproof! I rubbed these vigorously on my hands with water on and these didn’t come off even a little!

*I apply the metallic white kajal with a little black eyeshadow on my lashline otherwise the white looks stark.*

I never thought this day would come with Lakme introducing products at sky rocketed prices but I give these new eyeconic kajals a rating of 4.75/5!
Price: Rs.250 each
Quantity: 0.35gm

So now it’s officially clear that Lakme is offering products for all income segments..attracting all types of customers to itself.. clearly adopting smart marketing tactics..See! Now these are the type of interesting case studies that should be taught in MBA course, not those ones that make us sleep with open eyes!
And, with this, they make a place for themselves in Rs.300 and Under Good Indian Makeup Products.

omg!! Where did u get these from? Ive been searching high and low for this but none of the shops in khan market or lajpat have gotten it yet 🙁 I love the grey one and like u said the pricing is sooo affordable. Very unexpected from lakme These are the cheapest colored liners/kohls I believe and i Just hope they dont hike the prices after a month or so

Nice ones. I have been using black eyeconic and love it. I am sure this range will also stick up to that expectation
