Lakme Cinnamon Brown enrich lip crayon: Review, Swatches

When the Lakme SA showed me the new collection of Lakme enrich lip crayons, I was delighted to see a brown shade. In my head, it was a “peachy brown” shade. However, it turned out to be an altogether different shade from what I expected. Reviewing Lakme Cinnamon Brown enrich lip crayon today!

It has a soft texture and is available in 10 gorgeous shades that suit all Indian skin tones. It also has a rich blend of olive and jojoba oil that simultaneously conditions your lips. My experience with Lakme Cinnamon Brown enrich lip crayon:

Packaging: Lakme Cinnamon Brown enrich lip crayon doesn’t have the typical lip crayon packaging. It looks exactly like the crayon you used in your school and has a sharpening mechanism. To compensate for the disgruntled expressions people will throw after learning about the product wastage, Lakme gives a sharpener free for each crayon. Hehe!  I bought 9 shades (couldn’t find 05) and now, I have 9 sharpeners. My sharpener supply for this year is sorted.

Texture: Exactly the same like Baby pink– not very light-weight and got a bit of a waxy texture which helps maintain moisturized lips. It applies evenly and doesn’t tug on the lips during application. You might feel some dryness on your lips after the 3 hour mark.

Shade: Lakme Cinnamon Brown enrich lip crayon is a mature brown on my skin tone. It can be a MLBB shade for people above NC40-42 skin tone. My mom loves this shade. Btw, how similar is the name to Elle 18 Cinnamon bun lipstick which is a gorgeous peachy brown lipstick.

Pigmentation: It packs a punch of color on my non-pigmented lips. I tried it on my mom who has slightly dark lips and the shade did cover the natural color of her lips pretty well (not fully).

Finish: Satin

Staying power: I get 3 hours out of it with minimal fading and 4 hours to the max without going for a touch-up. Pretty awesome, right?

Summary:

Lakme Cinnamon Brown enrich lip crayon is an affordable brown lip color for Indian skin. It goes on smoothly without tugging and lasts for 3-4 hours which is awesome for the price it comes at. The only issue I see here is the product wastage. But I’m glad they offer a free sharpener with each crayon purchase.
