Forest Essentials Hair Cleanser and Conditioner “Mashobra,Honey & Vanilla” Review

in Hair care, Makeup, Others on 04/11/13

Both of these products are a total luxury affair!
This range is meant for normal to dry hair. I have an oily scalp and very dry hair.

The hair cleanser has such a beautiful scent. I wish there came a shower gel in the same scent. The shampoo is a brown coloured liquid. The shampoo lathers mildly and therefore, I can’t afford to use it on my oiled hair. I will need a lot of it to wash off the oil from my hair completely. But otherwise, it does a very good job of cleaning the hair.
When I poured the hair conditioner onto my hands, it came off as a thick consistency but the moment I massaged it onto my hair, it spread like water. Yes! As thin as that! The conditioner smells typically of vanilla.
Both these products leave my dry hair smooth and manageable. The frizz is reduced to a little extent. But since I’m having very dry hair these days, the conditioner is not rich enough for my hair and I need to use a serum afterwards.
Since these products are natural, I think they need to be used in the long run to see their real effects on hair quality. Obviously, I won’t be buying the full sized ones since these are expensive for me.
These travel sized bottles lasted for 5 washes for my mid length hair, which is why I’m not rating these products. The usage is quite less to come to a solid conclusion.

Natural ingredients is a big selling point for me especially coconut, jojoba oil, honey, hibiscus. Ii have the same problem as you very dry and very thick hair so it will be difficult for me as well .

I agree with you, you need lots of product than usual when it comes of natural brands. I am using Body shop shampoo and even after two full palm size products usage I felt that hair are not completely clean 🙁
