Revlon Photo ready Kajal “Emerald Empire” Review and Swatch

in Eyeliner, Eyes, Makeup on 11/10/13

When I heard these eyeliners had launched some time back, I was so excited to try these but whenever I went to purchase this particular shade, it wasn’t available.
7-8 days back I got a chance to try this.

–           Revlon Photoready Kajal “Emerald Empire” is a dual ended pencil as you can see.
–            It has two shades: a dark teal shade, with micro shimmers and a light beige shade.
–            The pigmentation is very nice and fully buildable with 2-3 strokes.
–            I wouldn’t say the texture is very soft but it doesn’t hurt either. It doesn’t apply in one stroke which I’m used to since I mostly use liquid liners only.
Now, coming to the disappointment,
The staying power is terrible! I use the light beige shade on my lower lash line for a “bigger eyes effect.” It truly delivers that (see the pics) but it stays on my waterline for a maximum of 2 hours. Only a little can be seen after that which is deposited to my lower lashes. The “dark teal” shade starts to fade after 2 hours and it also got transferred to my crease area (see the picture). It also got smudged at the corners of my eyes within two hours.

I’m happy that an Indian brand launched a *ude kajal but I just wish the staying power was better.
That said, I’m using the *ude shade almost everyday.

Oh! And, It’s Safe for Contact Lenses Wearer Too 🙂

Price: Rs.395 (Ouch!)
Quantity: 2.4gm
VCB Rating: 3/5

Teal color is so beautiful, sad that it transfers. Love the photos esp the one with glass.

I'm loving the teal colour but if you are saying that it doesn't stay long then it's not worth buying
