Blue Heaven innocence matte lipstick 14 review, swatches

Today, I’m reviewing a very affordable lipstick in a matte finish from the brand ‘Blue Heaven’. I think this is my first purchase from this brand and therefore, I’m very excited.
Please note that I don’t like to get into every nook and cranny with such affordable priced makeup because I do not find it fair. I’m a little lenient in such reviews. Especially with lipsticks. I think if they have a good texture and don’t smell bad, you can always make them work by putting in a few extra steps. Example: By blotting twice, you can increase the staying power. By soaking your lips in oil 10 minutes prior, you can improve the finish, etc.

Blue Heaven innocence matte lipstick comes in a plastic packaging with the brand name written on the cap in silver color. The shade number is mentioned at the bottom of the packaging. The cap shuts down with a click every time you close it.
What I have noticed is that most affordable lipsticks have a very strong scent which is very annoying. Thankfully, this one doesn’t. It does have a faint smell but it goes away within some minutes of applying it. Surprisingly, I had to drag the lipstick very faintly to saturate my lips with colour. The texture isn’t very thick which is why even after 2-3 coats, it didn’t look cakey. Also, it has a medium coverage.

As compared to shade 15, I find it smoother in texture. Also, it’s not completely matte but you can always blot down the excess shine.
If you have slightly dry lips, you won’t find it uncomfortable to wear.
Depending on what you eat/drink, the lipstick can last anywhere between 3-4 hours. After which, it’s best to remove it by wetting a tissue and then, re-apply it for a fresh finish. It’s not transfer proof even with light drinks/snacks but it also doesn’t gets removed fully. If you apply it using the blotting method, you will find that it sticks a lot better.
