Maybelline has come up with a lot of products recently like strobing creams, strobing stick, concealer and color show bright mattes lipsticks!

I decided to get one shade from their newly launched lipstick- a cheerful coral!

My experience with Maybelline color show bright mattes lipstick Cheerful Coral:

If you have no time even to finish your favourite book, I will sum up the review in just a word – Bad.

I’ll start with the packaging. SAME packaging with description of the new product on a plastic cover which has to be removed. The lipstick is housed in a matte black packaging with a color band at the middle. The shade name and number is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick, like always.

There’s no feel of getting your hands upon a new launch.

Obviously, I decided to look past it and buy the lipstick for its quality. Another blow!

Maybelline color show bright mattes lipstick Cheerful Coral looks patchy and the color refuses to go on evenly. I don’t even have much pigmented lips to begin with and it still doesn’t more than medium coverage on my lips. Then, the texture feels oily. It’s a task to get a neat finish with it. 

I can’t even think about blotting and layering with it.

Maybelline color show creamy matte lipsticks were no joy but they were certainly better!

I also don’t get the logic behind calling them ‘mattes’.

The first time I wore it, I had a hard time believing my eyes. The finish looked so bad that I decided to remove it instantly. I did that within a minute and was left with a deep pink stain which stayed on for an entire day. So, there’s the silver lining!
