Bella Voste Intense Eyeliner Kajals: Review, Swatches

Bella Voste intense eyeliner kajals review, swatches

When I saw these kajals online, they immediately reminded me of Lakme eyeconic kajals because of the similarity in the packaging. When I checked the price, it didn’t seem like a bad decision to order them. So, I went ahead and ordered three shades in them.

Product description:

Made in germany

Water proof, smudge proof, high coverage

Dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested

My experience with Bella Voste intense eyeliner kajals:

Packaging: All eyeliners come in a black retractable pencil mechanism. They have a color-coded body at the bottom which allows you to distinguish the shade easily if you own more than one. The shade name as well as expiry date is mentioned on the body itself. Also, I suggest you to twist up the pencil only a little while applying and not experiment like I do.

It’s no fun twisting the pencil all the way up and then, slowly twisting it down with little beads of sweat forming on your forehead thinking you might just wasted a new product. *Makes a mental note to herself*

Texture: Since the tip is quite slim, I suggest you to not put much pressure while applying it. Be light-handed. Thankfully, they don’t require much pressure to be applied as they apply super smooth with good pigmentation.

I hardly draw thick lines as it doesn’t suit my eye shape. But even with these slim tips, you can draw thick lines by building it up.

Pigmentation: The coverage is on the good side but definitely not completely opaque. The intensity can be easily built up by going over it a few time in layers.

Staying power: I have super oily eyelids with watery eye corners and always apply powder before using an eyeliner. I did the same with Bella Voste intense eyeliner kajals.

None of these eyeliners dry down completely. So, if you’re someone who happens to rub his/her eyes constantly, maintain distance from them.

They stay well for 4 hours after which I notice a decline in their intensity. They also start smudging a bit after that mark. After 6-7 hours, I most definitely need a touch-up.

I was most annoyed with the shade “Royal Breeze”. Not just it stains my eyelids a bit, it also transfers to my crease line.

As kajals, none of the shades caused any irritation on my waterline. They applied smoothly. But again, the staying power was pretty average for all the shades. Even the Lakme eyeconic kajals stay for a longer period of time.

Extra:

I bought them just a month back and noticed they all expire the next year. So, be careful when you buy them.

I did mail the brand about the same as I bought these directly from their website. Twice. They didn’t reply. When I e-mailed about another query, I got a reply! @_@

Summary:

I like the ease of use and variety of shades that comes with Bella Voste intense eyeliner kajals. They apply smoothly and last decently well given the price they come at. But if you happen to have super oily eyelids like me or rub your eyes frequently, I suggest you to save your money and spend it on a few high-quality eyeliners.

Also, I’m disappointed that they sent out old stock.
