I found this quote ringing in my ears when I bought Organistick lipstick ‘Naked’ with the hope of getting my hands upon a nude brown lip shade. However, my hopes were shattered when it met my lips. A week afterwards, my sis asked me about it and whether she can take it. She was overjoyed to discover it. The reason being she had been looking for a color that wasn’t nude yet helped her sport that “effortless lips” look. On her olive medium skin tone, it was a very good fit. Some days back, I borrowed it again from her to make a post on ‘affordable brown lipsticks for Indian skin tones.’

Lakme enrich lip crayon ‘Cinnamon Brown’
Lakme enrich lip crayon ‘Cinnamon Brown’ is a light, everyday brown shade on medium-warm skin tones. The texture has got a bit of waxy feel to it and needs to be sharpened which means product wastage. But it comes with a free sharpener, glides smoothly and lasts for 3 hours.

Streetwear color rich ultra moist lipstick ‘Crisp Caramel’
Streetwear color rich ultra moist lipstick ‘Crisp Caramel’ is a beautiful peachy brown shade that looks flattering on fair-medium warm complexions. I wouldn’t suggest this shade for dusky complexion as it can look pale. Best to try in person first.
I adore the texture for the price it comes at and in general too.

Blue heaven non transfer lip color ‘Nude lips’
Blue heaven non transfer lip color ‘Nude lips’ is a shade I would suggest to try only if you have a very light complexion. Just keep in mind that it requires a minimal amount of eye makeup to look good.
It also depends on your preference- I don’t like extreme nude lips in an overly matte finish.

Coloressence moisturizing lip color ‘Nude Suede’
Coloressence moisturizing lip color ‘Nude Suede’ is a beautiful brown with a bronze cast with very fine shimmers. I showed it in 20 nude lipsticks for Indian skin tones.
The texture definitely requires some work but it’s not a “swipe and drag forcefully” situation. It stays for around 2 hours depending on what you eat and drink. Don’t expect it to moisturize your lips. Wearing a balm beneath it can increase its performance.
The main issue I find with it is that it has a weird chemical smell but thankfully it disappears in a minute or so. It’s one of the best affordable brown lipsticks for Indian skin tones.

Organistick lipstick ‘Naked’
Organistick lisptick ‘Naked’ is a beige toned taupe which is precisely the reason I don’t like it at all on my complexion. It has a decent creamy texture to make way for a smooth application. It gives a satin finish and doesn’t emphasize the lip lines.
I’m glad my sis is making a good use out of it.
