Lakme Pink Burst Enrich Lip Crayon Review Swatches

Yesterday, I reviewed Lakme Baby Pink enrich lip crayon which is an everyday bright shade. Today, I’ll be reviewing Lakme Pink Burst enrich lip crayon which is a magenta shade.

Product description:

Get smooth and matte finish lips with this lip colour crayon by Lakmé that is infused with mineral powders. It has a soft texture and is available in 10 gorgeous shades that suit all Indian skin tones. It also has a rich blend of olive and jojoba oil that simultaneously conditions your lips. For your convenience, the all new Lakmé Enrich Lip Crayon comes with a sharpener.

My experience with Lakme Pink Burst enrich lip crayon:

Packaging: The packaging is so identical to the crayola crayons that you can easily confuse your lip crayon with it. So, make sure you don’t end up scribbling with it in your notebook. The lip crayon has a sharpening mechanism. So, there’s bound to be some product wastage. The good news is that there’s a free sharpener provided and it works well. I didn’t face any problem though I wouldn’t aim for a pointed tip because of the creamy texture. The shade name and number is written on the crayon itself.

Texture: Unlike the shade “Baby Pink” which has a satin finish, this one has a semi-matte finish. It applies well without getting dragged and does have a tendency to highlight fine lines because of the nature of its texture. It’s lightly moisturizing in the beginning however does get a bit dry after some time. Nothing a dab of lip balm can’t fix if you have dry lips. Also, this one doesn’t feel as heavy as “Baby Pink”. The formula seems lighter.

Shade: Lakme Pink Burst enrich lip crayon is a medium magenta with silver shimmery particles which don’t feel gritty.

Finish: Semi-matte

Pigmentation: The coverage is fully opaque on my non-pigmented lips and I didn’t need more than two swipes. Even if you have pigmented lips, you will be easily able to yield a medium-full coverage.

Staying power: It stays for an impressive 5 hours on me. This is because it stains the lips lightly. Even after having a heavy meal, my lips aren’t left colorless because of that. But I did make way for a touch-up.

Summary:

Lakme Pink Burst enrich lip crayon is a beautiful magenta shade which will work for a variety of skin tones. It applies well, doesn’t feel uncomfortable and lasts for a good amount of time because of its staining properties. Try it if you’re after an affordable lip shade for dark skin (especially) in the market.
