Lakme Baby Pink Enrich Lip Crayon Review, Swatches

Hola guys! Recently, I posted swatches for the new Lakme enrich lip crayons. There are a total of 10 shades available in this affordable range. Usually, I post reviews together of a particular range in different shades. But this time, I’ll be posting the reviews for each shade separately because testing 9 shades will take a lot of time. I know many of you are excited on knowing how they perform and so, I didn’t want to keep you waiting. Starting the review series with Lakme Baby Pink enrich lip crayon!

Product description:

Get smooth and matte finish lips with this lip colour crayon by Lakmé that is infused with mineral powders. It has a soft texture and is available in 10 gorgeous shades that suit all Indian skin tones. It also has a rich blend of olive and jojoba oil that simultaneously conditions your lips. For your convenience, the all new Lakmé Enrich Lip Crayon comes with a sharpener.

My experience with Lakme Baby Pink enrich lip crayon:

Packaging: The packaging of the Lakme enrich lip crayon will remind you of your childhood crayons. Quite nostalgic, right? I love it when brands get creative with their packaging and don’t charge a bomb for it. You also get a sharpener free with each crayon! Since I got 9 shades to try out, my yearly supply for sharpeners is sorted out! A smart move from Lakme to tempt even those customers who frown at sharpening mechanism as it leads to product wastage. The shade name is mentioned on the crayon itself with other details. You can also pull out the bottom cap . I tried it 😛

Texture: The crayon applies easily with a moderate slip. It is creamy but also a bit waxy- not in a bad way though for the price it comes at. While the waxy texture doesn’t moisturizes on its own, it does help in retaining the moisture on your lips. This is the reason why it feels a little heavy-nothing major though.

Finish: Satin

Shade: Lakme Baby Pink enrich lip crayon is a medium pink with a coral tinge. It also contains silver shimmers which are hardly noticeable in person. They do not feel gritty at all.

Pigmentation: I need two swipes to get a near to full coverage on my non-pigmented lips. If you have pigmented lips, you will need a couple more swipes. It doesn’t offer a full coverage though.

Staying power: I didn’t expect this range to last beyond 2 hours on my lips. But I’m surprised. This shade stays on me for 4 hours even with light snacks and drinks in between. It does transfer but a lot of color still remains on the lips. I guess it’s the waxy texture! A touch-up after a full meal is required.

Just make sure to give it at least 30 minutes to settle down before you start drinking/eating. You can also try the blotting method to prolong its wear time.

Summary:

Lakme Baby Pink enrich lip crayon is a beautiful pink which should work for fair-light medium skin tone. It glides on easily and offer a near to full coverage for non-pigmented lips. However, the coverage won’t be that good for people with pigmented lips. As for longevity, it lasts for 4 hours with light meals in between. Product wastage is the only issue I see here.

It has to be the best affordable lip crayon in India from a reputed brand. It goes under Rs.300 and under good quality Indian makeup products.
