When you base your purchases on a freebie

You want to go shopping! That idea can be exciting as well as scary. Exciting because that’s the form of exercise you love doing the most and scary because it means getting a reality check by seeing your bank account balance.

You take a deep breath, check the balance and let out a deep breath again. You realize that your bank statement is basically a summary of all the makeup you have. Interesting!

It’s now time to prepare a shopping list and stick to it to avoid getting things out of hand. You spend a week preparing it, enter the mall feeling all confident and also, take a close friend of yours along to keep things in control to have more fun.

That’s what I did yesterday. Everything was going according to the plan until I visited Innisfree store. I was there to buy only my beloved Innisfree apple juicy cleanser but things took a U-turn when I spotted a beautiful thing free on purchase above Rs.4000. I was forced by it to buy more products. My friend tried her best to take control of the situation. She was quite close to grabbing me by the hair and beating me up.

When I reached the billing counter, I asked the lady there to cancel the other stuff and just give me the cleansing oil. She stared at me and wondered what the hell I was up to. Just as my friend breathed a sigh of relief, I changed my mind again and asked the lady to make a bill for all the things I chose. This time, she was smiling. I could tell by her expressions that she lauded me for this move.

And, now I’m a proud owner of this:

Other stuff I purchased..

The freebie is definitely going to my drawer which reads “Collective items- Only to be touched and not used.” Just like this Maybelline clutch, Etude House dreaming swan collection, Minnie mouse lipstick, Bow coin purse, this camera print notebook, this cute Korean stationery.. Okay! Stop!
