Iba Halal Long Stay Matte Lipsticks: Review, Swatches

I vividly remember a little girl standing in front a mirror, taking a lipstick out of her pocket, trying it on herself, smiling and enacting to some filmy songs wearing it. Little did she knew that one day she will fall in love with them.. so much that her bank statement would be a reflection of the lipsticks purchased by her! (Life can get rough sometimes) So, carrying on with my love saga for lipsticks, I’m reviewing Iba Halal long stay matte lipsticks today in two shades.

My review on Iba Halal long stay matte lipsticks

Packaging: Gorg *_* They can easily pass off as looking like high-end lipsticks if the brand name isn’t visible.

I love the black body with a golden colored band in the centre. The brand name is mentioned on the cap and the shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick. Both the lipsticks are encased in a cardboard packaging which bears the necessary details. It doesn’t feel flimsy.

Texture: These claim to be a matte lipstick formula, however to me they’re more of a semi-matte finish. The texture is smooth, comfortable and non-drying. It’s only after 4 hours that I felt some moisture wouldn’t hurt my lips. They take an hour to set after which they become quite less prone to getting transferred.

One thing to take care of here is that if you’ve a super oily skin like me, these have a tendency to bleed slightly from the corners. But nothing some powder and a lip liner can’t fix.

Pigmentation: Both of them have an intense color pay-off. They offer an opaque and even coverage in one swipe only.

Staying power: Stellar! Both of them can easily last 5-6 hours depending on what you are eating and drinking. Even longer if you don’t have oily food and don’t go for a touch-up. Re-applying them is also easy. Do note that none of the shades leave any stain behind. In spite of that, I didn’t find myself needing an immediate touch-up even after having a full meal. The reason being the fading was very less from the centre of the lips. I just pressed my lips together to coat the colorless portion with color again and it was okay. No awkward moment o_O

Iba Halal long stay matte lipsticks have a semi-matte texture, smooth consistency and cover the natural color of lips completely by offering a full coverage. They easily last for 5-6 hours and don’t turn flaky by the passage of time. If you are allergic to parabens, good news is that this range is paraben-free!
