Lakme Absolute White Intense Skin Cover SPF25 Review

Lakme absolute white intense skin cover SPF25 foundation review, swatches, price
I purchased Lakme absolute white intense skin cover SPF25 foundation previous summers after having read rave reviews of it. So, yes! This is my second bottle! Next month, I’m buying a new foundation which has been on my wish list for long. For now, let me say that I’m so glad for having bought this foundation.

My experience with Lakme absolute white intense skin cover SPF25 foundation:
I have a very oily and sweaty skin and so, I’m always on the lookout for base products that cannot just keep this shine in check for a considerable time but also keep my face looking fresh for long, with some touch-ups. Another important aspect I look out for my base products is that they should not transfer like crazy. Be it summers or extreme summers! I sweat a lot, so that matters to me a lot. It’s only in rare cases of excessive sweating that my foundation disintegrates and gets a little patchy, which I fix with a touch up.
As you can see, it comes in a steel bottle with a pump and one can easily control the amount through the pressure one keeps on the pump. The only glitch in packaging is that the cap does not shut properly. So, when I travelled with it, I kept it in a small box for the fear of spilling.
The texture of the foundation is extremely light. It blends in easily with a few taps and disappears! Seriously! The finish is matte but a tiny glow from it prevents it from being a flat matte foundation. I have worn this with all seasons of my skin. This has to be the best Lakme foundation for oily skin.
The foundation does not oxidize on me. Set up with powder, it lasts for really long on my oily skin in our Indian weather summer conditions. Of course, I have to do touch up once or twice to eliminate shine in between, but it does not budge from your skin or disintegrates unless you are sweating heavily. It masks my pores a little and covers my acne scars well. The coverage of Lakme absolute white intense skin cover SPF25 foundation can be built from light-medium. I mostly use my fingers to apply it. I use the shade “03” which matches well with my skintone (NC 25). It looks a tad lighter but after some time, it adapts to my skin tone well. Anyways, I use foundation 1-2 shades lighter in summers.
The two bothersome aspects with it are that I can’t use it straight for more than 5 days otherwise my skin gets a tiny red bump. I’m guessing it’s because of the strong citrusy scent it has. So, I keep alternating. And, the second is that you get “15ml” for Rs.700!

In short, here are my thoughts on Lakme absolute white intense skin cover SPF25 foundation:
Chic packaging but the cap doesn’t shuts down properly.
It has a very light weight texture that disappears into skin.
It has a matte finish which is ideal for oily skin. Or rather should I say, ideal for any skin type with a little moisturization in this boiling heat of Delhi!
        It does not oxidize.
        It masks pores a little.
        It provides light-medium coverage.
        Its transfer proof.
It stays for long, for more than 7-8 hours with 1-2 touchps.
It gives me tiny red bumps on my skin if used for more than 5 days straight.
        The ingredients list is missing.
        Only 3 shades.
The quantity of 15 ml makes it really expensive at its price tag!
        Yes! Expensive!

Lakme absolute white intense skin cover SPF25 foundation is one of the best foundations for oily skin in India. It has a matte finish, blends well and most importantly, lasts!
