Lakme Absolute Shine Line “Pink” Review, Swatches + How I Use It

in Eyeliner, Eyes, Makeup on 03/12/13

You know how there are some times when some guests arrive at your home with their daughter same age as yours! I find it a little difficult to strike smooth conversation with a stranger but that time I didn’t really had to think much! All thanks to this liner! I was wearing this on my eyes and she told me how pretty it looked! And, I started my saga of makeup. I purchased this liner some 2 months back and here’s what I have to say about it (leaving the fact that I had gone mad getting the right swatches!):

–            The shade is a gorgeous metallic duochrome pink. Although I feel it’s a white base with pale pink flecks. It appears white under some light and pink under some light.
–            It comes in a slim plastic bottle and the brush has thin bristles, tightly packed.
–            The texture is thin and water based.
–            The pigmentation is disappointing. Only after three coats, it gives somewhat opaque coverage. This is the reason with the little quantity given; I’m at the bottom of the bottle.
–            Spare 7-10 minutes when using it, since it takes this much amount to dry.
–            The staying power is good although! It stays on for more than 7-8 hours with hardly any fading. It’s water resistant too.

How I Use It:
Using Vega lip liner brush, I first apply a thin line with the pink eyeshadow from “Sleek Palette”. After that, I apply two coats of the pink liner. I either draw a thin black liner upon it or wing it slightly. I don’t like layering it upon black eyeliner because I don’t like the shade then. But I have still swatched it that way for reference.
Price: Rs.299
Quantity: 4ml
VanityCaseBox Rating: 3/5

Now, let us pray to God that Maybelline introduces affordable (Rs.350 maximum)Beautiful matte shade eyeliners and peach lipsticks too! Some liquid eyeliners too! Lip Chubby sticks too in soft shades. And Ooh Ooh! I hope that Beautiful, Funky and bright yellow Maybelline Clutch I saw today becomes free on purchase of just Rs.700 and not Rs.1500! Wishes Wishes!

This looks pretty. Using black makes the pink pop out.

Hahahahhahah…. Keep wishing girl, you never Santa May make them come true. Love the shade, it's nice and pale. Your reviews are always great.

Glad you were able to have a conversation, I tend to be the same. I'm more comfortable talking to people who are older to me for some reason.

I didnt like this shade at all when I checked it at the store. The pigmentation is terrible and I can believe it takes sooo long to dry! Though I really loved how precisely uve applied the liner 🙂
