Iba Halal Nude Collection Matte Lipsticks: Review, Swatches

Iba Halal nude collection matte lipsticks: Review, swatches

Hola nude lip lovers!

I’m reviewing two affordable lipsticks today!

Product description:

Iba introduces India’s first halal certified & vegan matte lipsticks. Halal Certified & Vegan, No Pork or Animal Derived Ingredients are used in this lipstick and the formula is Non-Drying, and made with Preservative Free Paraben Free, Alcohol Free. Instead find lip loving ingredients such as CocoaButter, Vitamin E, Olive Oil, Almond Oil and mineral colors in our lipsticks.

My experience with Iba Halal nude collection matte lipsticks:

The lipsticks come in a cardboard packaging which carries details like ingredients list, price, quantity, expiry date and more. The actual lipstick has a black body and the shade name is mentioned at the bottom of it.

Though the brand claims these to be a matte formula lipstick, they have more of a semi-matte finish. Both the shades have a smooth texture and coat my lips with colour evenly in two swipes. They feel pretty light-weight and it’s only after some two hours that I notice the finish getting more matte. If you have dry lips, you might find yourself reaching for a lip balm after 4-5 hours.

None of these shades smudged on my super oily skin.

As for the staying power, ‘Iba Halal nude collection matte lipsticks’ last for a maximum of 4 hours with drinks and light snacks in between. You will need a touch-up after having a full meal. The staying power definitely extends if you wear them over MAC prep + prime lip or a lip liner in a matching colour family.

Iba Halal nude collection matte lipsticks M15, Pure nude- Purchased on Amazon from HERE.

This is the lightest nude lipstick I own and it works for my NC30 skin tone. I have always liked nude lipstick with a tinge of brown or pink in them so I am not a big fan of it. But I can see myself warming up to this shade once I have worn it 3-4 times. I don’t have to wear heavy eye makeup to pull off this shade. It works well with my usual brown eyeliner. However, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who’s more than NC30 skin tone. You can also see this post on my top 20 nude lipsticks for Indian skin tones.

Iba Halal nude collection matte lipsticks M18, Cinnamon Chai– Purchased on Amazon from HERE

This is a brown lip colour on me. It doesn’t look unflattering but it isn’t a nude shade on my skin tone. It might be for those with NC40 skin tone or above.
