Iba Halal long stay matte nude lipticks: Swatches

Iba Halal long stay matte nude lipticks: Swatches

So, ‘Iba Halal’ came out with their new nude lip colours collection some weeks back and given the nude lip colour lover I am, it took me only minutes to order two shades. I’m swatching the shades I own in this post:

Iba Halal long stay matte lipstick M18, Pure nude

When I first saw the colour of the bullet, the first thought that came to my mind was ‘Ewww! Concealer looking shade’. I was a bit heart-broken. Then, when I started applying it on my lips, I kept telling myself ‘not bad’. When I had finally applied it, I was like ‘Not bad at all’. Then, I hurriedly applied foundation and brown eyeliner to see how it actually looks with my everyday makeup and boy! I was in for a pleasant surprise!

This is the lightest nude lipstick I own and it works for my NC30 skin tone. I have always liked nude lipstick with a tinge of brown or pink in them so I am not a big fan of it. But I can see myself warming up to this shade once I have worn it 3-4 times. I don’t have to wear heavy eye makeup to pull off this shade. It works well with my usual brown eyeliner. However, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who’s more than NC30 skin tone. You can also see this post on 20 nude lipsticks for Indian skin tones to find your perfect shade.

Iba Halal long stay matte lipstick M15, Cinnamon Chai

This is a brown lip colour on me. It doesn’t look unflattering but it isn’t a nude shade on my skin tone. It might be for those with NC40 skin tone or above. If you’re on a strict budget, read this post on 5 affordable brown lipsticks under Rs.200 for Indian skin tones.

The brand has launched four more shades in this range which you can check out. I’ll be reviewing both these shades in the next 4-5 days.

You can check the review for more shades in this range in THIS post. I have also tried Iba Halal pure lips moisture rich lipsticks which are equally good.

Have you tried anything from this brand?
