My experience with Colourpop Give it to me straight eyeshadow palette:

Let’s start with the unique thing first. As you can see, the names of the eyeshadows are written directly below them. Usually, the names are written at the backside. So, this is the first palette from Colourpop to do so!

Now, moving on..

The pretty pink packaging had me captivated from the moment I held it in my hands. I love the names of the eyeshadows! The actual eyeshadow palette has a thick cardboard packaging which doesn’t feel cheap.

This is my first eyeshadow palette from Colourpop and am super impressed. Most of the shades in this palette apply smoothly, blend with minimal effort and do not have a worrying amount of fall out. I also noticed that while some shades didn’t swatch properly on my arm, they applied well on my eyelids without any problem.

Although the size of the palette is small, I doubt you’re going to hit pan of any of the shade pretty soon. The reason being they are very well pigmented and you only need a little every time. The pigmentation intensifies further when I go over with a second layer using a setting spray. Not a necessary step, of course. The shades hold well on my super oily eyelids with a good base beneath.

I love how one can create day time as well as night time looks using this palette. There are 6 mattes, 5 metallics and only one matte shade with shimmer (BS) in Colourpop Give it to me straight eyeshadow palette.

‘Matter of fact’ shade is something I have been reaching for a lot as it works as a an amazing transition shade. Others shades I’ve used a lot are BS, Candid, Be Blunt (Gorgeous!!), TMI (for blending my black liner on lower as well as upper lashline) and Downright. When I used the shade ‘Frank’, I realized it’s best to work with it with a light hand as it does crumble lightly and can get messy.

Overall, I’m super impressed with Colourpop Give it to me straight eyeshadow palette.
