Blue Heaven Florina Glossy Lipsticks: Review, Swatches

Blue Heaven florina glossy lipsticks: review, swatches

Remember the Blue Heaven mintz glossy lipsticks that I reviewed some time back? Well, these are no different! Except for the packaging. Even the shades are the same! How do I know?

Because I have one shade common in both of them called ‘Muddy Pink’. And it looks exactly the same.

Please note that I don’t like to get into every nook and cranny with such affordable priced makeup because I do not find it fair. I’m a little lenient in such reviews. Especially with lipsticks. I feel if they have a good texture and don’t smell bad, you can always make them work by putting in a few extra steps. Example: By blotting twice, you can increase the staying power. By soaking your lips in oil 10 minutes prior, you can improve the finish, etc.

What the brand says about the product:

A luxurious creamy matte lipstick that nourishes and protects your lips with:

– Stunning shine of gloss.

– Very smooth gliding technology.

 – High definition colours.

– Colours on lips with just one stroke application.

My experience with Blue Heaven florina glossy lipsticks:

Blue Heaven florina glossy lipsticks come in a see-through white box where you can see a regular sized and a mini-sized lipstick housed inside. The mini-sized one is actually a tester but in the same shade though. I do feel it would have made more sense had the tester been in another shade as this way one could actually test the shade and performance before purchasing another lipstick in this range. Phew! That was a long sentence 😛

The actual lipsticks come in a light grey colored packaging with a tiny silver button on the centre and shade name mentioned at the bottom of it. Open it and you will find a shiny silver neck. The caps shuts down properly every time.

Me really like the packaging!

These lipsticks glide like butter on lips, especially with the arrival of scorching summers in Delhi. They offer a glossy sheen on lips which isn’t over the top. You can always blot in case you want to tone it down. All the shades are very pigmented with the exception of ‘Muddy Pink’- it will not cover pigmented lips fully.

The maximum these lipsticks last on me after the blotting method is 3-4 hours. The shades ‘Tempting red’ and ‘Baked brick’ do leave a stain behind so that my lips aren’t left colourless.

‘Tempting red’ does have a tendency to travel past lip lines, especially on my oily skin. So, it’s best to wear it with a lip liner. You can check more affordable red lipsticks for Indian skin tones.
