When I look at my most used lip colors, they’re everyday lip shades. But I have to admit that on days I can’t pull myself together, a red lip does wonders (Strawberry waffles too). It works amazingly well as a temporary boost which kinda does the trick for me. I think every woman should own at least 1 red lipstick even if she reaches for it sparingly. Twice, I mixed it with a primer and wore it as a light tint of blush along with the lip color. It gives a lip tattoo kind of finish after some minutes when it settles and wears for very long.

L’oreal Paris infallible sexy balm ‘110, Can’t sit with us’
This is one of those affordable red lipsticks for Indian skin tone that’s easy to wear for beginners. It has a crayon packaging with a retractable mechanism. The texture is lovely as it smoothens the fine lines and doesn’t cling to any dry bits on lips. It doesn’t wear for long but I don’t mind doing a touch-up 2-3 times a day as it’s really low-maintenance.

Dupe of Christian Loubiton lipstick in looks aspect. Dupe of a famous brand when it comes to name aspect too. It’s definitely not a must-have but if you need to look at some change in your makeup pouch, it’s a good choice.

If you want a complete matte finish without the high-maintenance of a liquid lipstick, check this one out. Wearing a balm underneath is a must to get a proper application with it. It offers medium coverage and even after a full meal, a stain is left behind.

Make sure you don’t mix with it with your set of Crayola crayons. I have become a huge fan of this affordable range from Lakme as all the lip colors have a consistency good texture. ‘Berry Red’ applies easily and lasts well. It does feel a little waxy but nothing major. It’s one of the best affordable red lipsticks for Indian skin tone.

Even though it transfer with drinks and snacks in between, it manages to stay for around 4 hours. Since the color stains a bit, the lips aren’t left completely colourless. Personally, it’s a plus point for me as it eliminates the need for a quick touch-up.
