Sugar Goddess Of Flawless Spf30 BB Cream Review

Here’s something I know about Sugar goddess of flawless spf30 BB cream which you might not know: Even if you happen to get drenched in rain with it on your face, it’s not going to turn patchy or transfer.

How do I know that?

On one chilly morning, I decided to check the shade on me before having a bath. I just used micellar water and applied it quickly. Then, I rushed to take a shower. Since I have been using cleansing oils/balms to take off my makeup for over a year, the first thing I do is use them and then, step in the shower. But as I was busy singing “Dil diyan gallan”, I stepped into the shower with the BB cream on my face. 5 minutes later, the realization dawned on me and I looked at my face in the mirror. I was pleasantly surprised to see there was nothing funny going on, on my face.

This is what the brand claims:

My experience with Sugar goddess of flawless spf30 BB cream:

Packaging: Sugar goddess of flawless spf30 BB cream comes in a cardboard case packaging with all the necessary details mentioned on it. The actual tube is black in color with a twist off cap. The small nozzle makes it easier to control the quantity of product you want to dispense.

Texture: The first thing I noticed was the silicone-y feel about this BB cream. It feels extremely light-weight and has a consistency similar to that of a light whipped cream. It blends in a jiffy and also, dials down the look of my pores.

It gives light-low medium coverage but covers redness and minor imperfections quite well. The finish is a natural matte.

I was expecting it to be a tad more moisturizing given their claims but it isn’t. My skin is frequently prone to dehydration and on some days, I noticed a bit of patchiness forming after some hours. Therefore, I always use it after applying moisturizer mixed with oil. Currently, my skin is in a combination phase with the weather transition.

Staying power: It’s only after some 4 hours that I noticed the finish changed to a dewy glow but still looking “second-skin” like at the same time. Thankfully, it didn’t oxidize.

Shade selection: The biggest bummer for me with this Sugar goddess of flawless spf30 BB cream is the shade range. Since one of my friends bought this product before me, I decided to swatch it on my skin. It was in shade ’01’. It had pink undertones and looked artificial on me.

The one I’m currently using is ’02’. When I first swatched it on my hand, it looked peachy-orangish and I thought it would be a fail. But as I applied it and saw it disappearing, I was surprised. It is a bit darker for my NC30 skin tone but works nicely, especially in winter when I don’t have to bother with matching my base to my neck.

However, I don’t see myself using this shade in summers. My super oily skin won’t be able to take it. I’m hoping there are new shades launched by then.

The shade range seems best suited for those with a medium skin tone.

Any reaction?

Nope. I have been wearing it on and off for some 15 days.

Summary:

I actually like Sugar goddess of flawless spf30 BB cream, a lot. The texture sits beautifully on my skin, blurring the look of my pores and giving a soft matte finish. It stays strong in this cold weather for over 7 hours on my combination skin and offers SPF 30 protection.

However, if you have a dry skin or skin prone to dehydration, I suggest using a strong moisturizer underneath. Getting the ideal shade can be a problem too.

Also, you have to give it to the brand for coming up with this- Goddess of flawless 😛
