Hello Gorgeous!

It was my last day in Zurich during my Europe trip.

I was heading towards a McDonalds store to eat some fries. While I did that, I thought of what I should eat next. Because of course, most of my life decisions revolve around food.

I walked out and saw an ice-cream parlour. Even after trying 7 different favours, I couldn’t settle on one. But one glance at the shopkeeper sitting inside from a distance told me that someone thought I was just fooling around. I finally settled on a coconut one. And what a bliss it was! I felt hot tears of joy rolling down my cheeks.

As I was doing window shopping, I saw something! My heart skipped a beat for a moment. It was a bookstore! I visited one in Paris but could only buy 2 books because of the time crunch. I had 30 more minutes in my hand at that time. I just looked up, thanked God and was sure that I passed a creepy smile because a kid eyed me suspiciously and murmured something to his mom. Hmph!

Instead of licking, I gulped down the ice-cream. The ice-cream was so cold (Ross! Ross!) and for a moment, I thought of just throwing it in the bin. But then I came back to my senses after realizing I bought it for Rs.300. 5 minutes gone!

I was inside the bookstore, sticking my nose in the books and smelling them. I hurriedly went to the YA section, made a quick scan and put 3 books in my basket. 10 minutes left!

As I made my way for the payment counter, I saw something from the corner of my eyes. It was Pink. It was a notebook. It was placed around some minions themed stationary. It was enough to send me in a trance and give me a heart attack when I almost missed a step going down the stairs.

There it was! But oh my God! Places a hand on her mouth.

Two girls who just came that side picked it up. I.. I can’t see this! It’s too much! Asks God why did he even make me see it. Do you think I should ask if they have one more in their stock? I think I should! Wait! What? They kept it down! Run!

So, I walked at a speed which didn’t make me look like I was going to leave the shop without paying for the books. I reached there and held it in my hands.

Pink. Bows. Sparkle. Stripes. Glitter. Spiral bound. Neatly lined.

It took me less than 30 seconds to keep it in my basket carefully. Very carefully. Very gently. With a loving stroke. I thanked the shopkeeper with a big battisi which I’m sure either scared her or had her think she just met a psychopath.

I walked out of the shop feeling so lucky that day. It was the last piece. I’m sure it’s how Harry must have felt when he held the felixi felicis potion in his hand.

Have a look at it:
