They’re here! Liquid Matte Lipsticks for Only Rs.205!

Blue Heaven non transfer lip color review, swatches, price

I’m grateful for two things which we women can do easily:

– Add more inches to our height by wearing heels

– Make our miserable day a little better by throwing on a red lip!

While heels need to be expensive to make our feet comfortable, it’s not the same case with a red lipstick. Even an affordable priced one does the job well. With this expectation in mind, I bought Blue heaven non transfer lip color. They didn’t look like liquid lipsticks to me that would dry down completely but sadly they do. If you’re new to my blog, you can read my post on why I hate liquid lipsticks. I clearly fall in the minority because the manner in which a lipstick fades is much more important to me than for how long it wears.

But I couldn’t bear these lip colors staring at me and looking at me with puppy eyes trying to convince me to at least try them. I gave in and came to the conclusion that even though I wasn’t smitten by them for personal reasons, I had to show them to you guys. For the greater good! Okay, now I want to re-read the Harry Potter series.

Going back to the Blue heaven non transfer lip color:

Full marks (almost) on packaging! The product is held in a lipstick shaped tube with a twist-off cap. Both are color coded with the shade name mentioned on the bottom. Since they aren’t opaque, it’s easy to see how much quantity is left. The applicator has a fuzzy sponge which I wish was a bit long for easy application.

Since the formula dries fast, you need to be quick with application. I find two coats enough to cover the natural color of my lips nicely. Any more than that and the product can feel heavy. Also, look cakey! Both of them have a thin consistency which helps in spreading the product easily. However, with the shade ‘Nude lips’, it’s a struggle to get a streak-free application with no patchiness. See the swatches for a better understanding.

Once they set completely, they wear for long. They hardly smudge and are relatively water-proof. I didn’t see any lipstick transfer on my cup when I had coffee/water with them on. They wear for an average of 4-5 hours before they begin to crack. As with any other liquid lipstick, they start breaking completely once you start having greasy food.

Complaints? Not light-weight and feel sticky for the first 3-4 minutes. Don’t press your lips till they have dried completely.

Blue Heaven non transfer lip color ‘Brick Red’

Blue Heaven non transfer lip color ‘Nude Lips’

‘Brick Red’ is a bright orange red and is much brighter off pics. It’s a stunning shade and I have been wearing it on top of my traditional red lipsticks. ‘Nude lips’ isn’t exactly unflattering on my skin tone but it needs a heavy hand at eye makeup which I hardly go for. For the past 1 month or so, I have been wearing only brown/copper/bronze on my eyes. Also, I’m not a fan of an overly matte finish when it comes to nude lipsticks. They make me look sick, as if my dark circles weren’t enough for that.

Lastly, Blue Heaven non transfer lip color costs just Rs.205 and performs pretty good.

Price: Rs. 205

Quantity: 2.8ml
