Biotique Flawless DD Cream Review, Swatches

Biotique flawless DD Cream: Review, Swatches, Price

UPDATE: THIS PRODUCT IS A FAKE AND NOT FROM BIOTIQUE. I’M NEVER SHOPPING AGAIN FROM IMPRESSIONS SHOP.

Some of the most underrated pleasures in my life are:

– A top that fits perfectly which was ordered online

– A book I can never say goodbye to

– Seeing the waiter coming in my direction and arriving with MY food! MY FOOD! *Tears of joy*

– Offering someone my food due to so-called manners and the person refusing it. *Tears of joy*

– Cold showers without bothering about the time after a boiling day

– Finding an affordable base product fit enough to give even my medium coverage foundations a tough competition

Say hello to the newest launch in town which I have been testing since a month- Biotique flawless DD cream!

I remember how Ponds BB cream became a quick favourite of many when it was launched. I have a strong feeling that this one is going to be liked even more!

Product description:

Our new All-in-one DD cream transforms from a white cream to suit your skin type. Pigment-filled capsules burst when applied to the skin, releasing the colour inside. Just blend for a perfect match and an even, undetectable finish. It’s makeup and skincare in one. Adapts to your skin tone. Light to medium coverage. 24-hour hydration. Non-clogging.

Organically pure and preservative free.

No animal testing.

Dermatologist tested for safety.

My experience with Biotique flawless DD cream

Packaging: Biotique flawless DD cream comes in a glossy green packaging with all the necessary details like shade number, product description, manufacturing date and ingredients mentioned on it. It has a flip-flop cap which opens and shuts easily. The size of the nozzle is perfect for controlling the amount of product you want to dispense.

Texture: The DD cream has a thick consistency yet a light-weight texture which glides on skin and applies well. You can take your own sweet time with blending as it takes a few minutes to dry completely.

It has a strong smell which is dislike. The good news is that it goes away within some seconds.

Coverage: It offers a light-medium coverage. There’s no cakeyness or calling attention to pores with it. I’m surprised by how well it evens out my skin tone, covers redness and my acne scars.

Finish: Biotique flawless DD cream gives a semi-matte finish.

Staying power: It offers decent oil-control and looks good without any touch-ups for 4 hours. It’s only after that I need to use an oil blotting paper as the finish tends to get satin. Thankfully, there’s no change in the shade. Even after 8-9 hours, it looks pretty much second-skin like, provided it’s accompanied with a few touch-ups.

Sometimes, when my oily skin tends to get dehydrated, I notice some patchiness forming on my cheeks and forehead towards the end of the day. No such thing with this one. It may be a different scenario in winter but for now, I’m loving it.

SPF: This is the weirdest part. Being a DD (daily defence) cream, it contains no SPF level. In India, BB/CC/DD all pretty much sum up to be a cosmetic product only with minute differences. This is the best cream in India 2017. Sorry, Ponds!

How to use it: Since it isn’t high-maintenance, you can use your fingers, brush or a beauty blender.

Shade selection: Very disappointing. I have the shade ’02’ with me which works well for my fair skin tone. I didn’t have a chance to check out shade ’01’ because of its non-availability but I’m assuming it’s even lighter.

Where to buy: I bought it from Impressions shop, Pitampura.

Weird part: I haven’t seen it anywhere else. I even dropped a mail to ‘Biotique’ to inquire about this new launch but still haven’t received any reply from them. Just a little doubtful if it’s original or not because the high end products I saw there are fake.

Summary:

Priced at Rs.399, Biotique flawless DD cream ticks all the boxes an affordable base product is supposed to deliver. In fact, more than what it’s supposed to deliver. It feels light-weight, offers a close to medium coverage and stays well on my oily skin. My only complaint is the bad shade selection and the irritating smell which is initially quite strong to give a headache.

That said, the good definitely outweighs the bad for me when it comes to it. Also, I wish the company replied to my mail to confirm it’s an original product 😐
