Faces Glam on Prime Perfect Foundation: Review, Swatches

I bought Faces glam on prime perfect foundation a week before I did this shopping haul. After having tested it for approx. a month, I have to say that it’s one of the best foundations for combination skin in the affordable range.

Product description

Faces glam on prime perfect foundation has incredibly luxurious texture that blends with skin for a flawless application. It provides medium to high coverage. Creamy formula with excellent smoothing and matte effect. Contains hyaluronic acid for deep & efficient moisturization and a long term anti-aging action. It is paraben free, contains Vitamin E and is dermatologically tested.

My experience with Faces glam on prime perfect foundation:

Packaging: Faces glam on foundation comes in a black box which contains details like shade name, ingredients, product description, expiry date and price. The actual foundation comes in a matte black tube with a golden colored cap. The tube has a tiny nozzle perfect for dispensing the right amount of product to avoid wastage.

Texture: It has a creamy texture and sets quite quickly. Therefore, you need to have a fast hand while working with it. Otherwise, the finish can look patchy. In spite the creamy texture, I don’t find it settling into fine lines. While it doesn’t emphasize the look of pores, it also doesn’t help smoothen their appearance. If you have large pores, what you can do is take either a small buffing brush or just your fingers to move it in small circular motions over them to diffuse their look. You might have to apply a bit more pressure than you usually do. It’s not a very light-weight foundation but it doesn’t make me feel like I have something on my face.

One thing which irks me about it is that it clings to dry patches very badly.

Staying power: I wore it for more than 12 hours and noticed that I needed more blotting sheets than I usually did. It also started to break up around my nose area after some 6 hours. This was when I tested it on my oily skin. So, I’m definitely not recommending this for oily skin type.

When I first bought it, I was having a combination skin type and I started wearing it from the next day onwards. Since I wore it mostly on work days, it performed quite well in the air-conditioned building. It held up with minimum touch-ups and looked good at the end of the day. Definitely one of the best foundations for combination skin in India.

Shade: I have the shade “02, Natural” which is a light-medium beige color. It’s slightly darker but thankfully, it doesn’t oxidize.

Coverage: While it doesn’t offer more than medium coverage, it covers my acne scars pretty well.

Finish: It has a satin matte finish.

Summary:

I do find Faces glam on prime perfect foundation ideal for combination skin types but it’s not the best foundation for oily skin in India. It holds up well and blends properly without emphasizing the look of large pores. If you’re willing to spend more, try my favourite foundation for oily-combination skin i.e. L’oreal  Paris the true match foundation. It is awesome!
