Ciate Blush Pop Creme Blush ‘Darling’: Review, Swatches

One of the best feelings in summer is to walk inside an air-conditioned room (Hello ATMs!) after being out in the sun for too long. That, and coming back home and seeing your makeup not gone bad. Add to it the feeling of joy after seeing blush still existing on your face. The Ciate Blush Pop Creme Blush ‘Darling’ does the same for me.

What Ciate blush pop is:

A mini pot applicator with a highly-blendable cream blush.

What it does:

Sweep this blush directly onto the apples of your cheeks and blend in the creamy formula with your fingertips for a rosier complexion. Infused with spherical powders, it creates a flush that’s packed with a pop of color for a natural-looking glow.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:

– Parabens

– Sulfates

– Phthalates

My experience with Ciate Blush Pop Creme Blush ‘Darling’:

Packaging: Ciate blush pop creme blush is a dome shaped blush with a transparent screw-on cap. It looks like a mushroom. Did this thought cross your mind too? It’s very light-weight. And look at those tiny bows made on it! Don’t miss the brand’s signature bow engraved on the blush! The actual blush comes in a cardboard packaging with necessary details mentioned on it.

Formula: It has a creamy and super-blendable texture. It is velvety matte in finish and really does blend like a dream! If you want to get started with cream blushes and don’t mind the price tag, you should definitely try it. Also, it doesn’t settle into pores.

Pigmentation: It has a good color payoff. I like to build the pigmentation in layers. It leaves the most beautiful flush of color, that is just what the doctor ordered for summer.

Staying power: In winters when my skin was on the drier side, it used to last for 8 hours with fading. In this humid weather, it lasts for 5 hours with considerable fading (with primer underneath). Happy! Also, it fades evenly and doesn’t go patchy as the hours go by. I like to go with a bit more heavy hand in this weather to make it stay for long on my oily skin.

On days I want a serious staying power, I layer it under a powder blush. I’ve been reaching for Sivanna colors ultra blush palette 03 a lot. The shades stay for quite long in this hot weather on my oily skin.

How to use it: You can use it directly on cheeks. However, I like to place my duo-fibre brush over it and then, blend it on my cheeks. I find the finish to be a lot natural this way.

Shade: Ciate Blush Pop Creme Blush ‘Darling’ is a peachy coral! It screams summer 😀

Scent: Fruity

The only glitch: It causes small bumps on my skin if worn for more than 4 days continuously. Honestly, it’s not an issue with me at all. I hardly wear the same blush consistently for this long. The only time I wear it continuously this way is when I’m testing it out for review purpose. I do have a sensitive skin and this still works for me. That said, you might want to stay away from it if you break out very easily or tend to wear the same color on your cheeks consistently.
