New Island Kiss Lip Stain Moisturizers Review, Swatches

Moisturizing and staining don’t exactly go hand-in-hand. Lip balms that are moisturizing don’t usually offer a long lasting stain and lip stains can feel drying. So, do the new Island kiss lip stain moisturizers make a cut? Let’s find out!

After this I’ll find out whether Dunkin donuts has returned to Swiggy or not for my place. I don’t know for what reason it has stopped delivering in the area where I live. For most people, a major update in their life involves either moving to a new place or marriage. For me, it has been getting addicted to donuts just a few months back and I never used to like their taste. I don’t even find myself reaching out for chocolates anymore. No idea how! Has this kind of thing happened with you ever? Is there a major update in your life too?

Okay, let’s go back to these lip stain moisturizers..

My Experience With Island Kiss Lip Stain Moisturizers:

Packaging: You will be instantly drawn to the retro inspired packaging. The lip balm are encased in a cardboard box featuring retro pinup girls and contain all the information you need to know.

Applicator: The Island kiss lip moisturizers stain have a slanted tip applicator using which you can apply the product directly on your lips without having to use your hands.

Formula: The formula feels very hydrating on lips minus any heaviness. In addition to having SPF 15 to protect your lips, the all organic ingredients list helps soothe chapped lips. Even after the lip moisturizer has worn off, I don’t feel an immediate need to go for a touch-up. I can feel a silky layer on my lips.

Staying power: Since these lip moisturizers are touted as stains, do the shades actually last? Nope, they don’t. On their own, they do wear for more than 2 hours but with some snacks and drinks in between, they wear off. You will have to re-apply.

Island Kiss lip stain moisturizer Black Rose and Grenade Rouge: It is a bright orange red and I see it working for a variety of complexions. It doesn’t go opaque but offers a serious punch of color for a tinted version. Perfect for days when you want to opt for less makeup.

Island Kiss lip stain moisturizer Flamingo Pink and Peonies: This one is a disappointment. It is a light milky coral shade that’s best suited only for light skin tones. It doesn’t wash out my complexion but doesn’t perk it up either. See the swatches and you will also notice small clumps in it. However, the texture doesn’t feel gritty on lips. Given the shade and the lasting power, the only category I see this working is for those who are afraid of putting color on their lips.

Summary:

The Island kiss lip stain moisturizers perform really well as tinted lip balms which nourish dry lips. They are loaded with natural ingredients and devoid of toxic chemicals which makes them ideal even for people who end up eating their lip balms. You won’t be able to find one ingredient which is harmful. However, they certainly don’t make for a long lasting stain which is a let-down.
