Brow down to L’oreal Paris Brow Artist Genius Kit!

Do you know what one thing can you and Deepika Padukone have in common across varied makeup looks? Any guesses?

I hope you guessed it right. The answer is fuller brows!

It’s only when I bought my first eyebrow product that I realized how much of a difference properly filled in eyebrows can make. Previously, I had been using NYX eyebrow powder coupled with Ciate London brow gel. I have moderately sparse eyebrows without much of an arch to speak of. When I came across this brow kit, I was sold! The shades are an amazing match and the kit costs less than 1000 bucks.

Today’s post is about L’oreal Paris brow artist genius kit review and why it should be a part of your vanity.

Product description

Match your Brows with your Mood. Achieve anything from natural to the boldest look.

Build the brows you want in 3 easy steps: Shape, Set & Style.

My experience with L’oreal Paris Brow Artist Genius kit ’01, Medium to dark’:

The brow kit comes in a compact packaging with black as the bottom color and silver as the lid color. It has a lock mechanism which works perfectly. You will hear a ‘click’ sound every time you close it. It comes with a mirror attached inside and a tiny brush with an angled brush on one side and spooley brush on the other.

In India, only one shade is available i.e. 01 Medium to dark. It has a brow powder in taupe shade and a brow wax in cocoa brown shade. Since the powder is decently pigmented, it’s best to go easy. It goes on smoothly and blends easily. The wax isn’t greasy and gives a strong base to the powder to adhere to.

How I use L’oreal Paris brow artist genius kit:

You might be finding the brows very strong from the front but it’s a close-up shot. Some days, I leave the front area completely devoid of color.

First, I prep my brows using the wax. I apply it with a light hand. The wax does the job of a primer for them.

Starting from the arch to the end, I begin to outline my brows. I let the short side of the angled brush lead me so as to not travel outside the line. I use light brush strokes to fill in. I don’t like to take the arch high up as the end-result looks very made-up on my sparse brows.

Now, I move to fill in the remaining area. I pick up extra product only when the brush is devoid of color. Remember to keep the beginning area of your brows light. It shouldn’t look harsh.

Brushing brows using spoolie to blend the color and make them look natural.

Optional: Use a clean mascara brush sprayed with hair spray to set unruly eyebrows. Word of caution: Don’t touch the skin while doing this. 2-3 years back, I touched a bit of skin accidently and walked out of the home thinking it wasn’t a big deal. For those entire 5-6 hours, I had a feeling of uneasiness in my left brow and had to also correct the little powder smudging.

Summary:

L’oreal Paris Brow Artist Genius Kit is an awesome product for better brows. While the brow powder helps fake fuller eyebrows effect, the gel helps in taming the brows. The color never transfers throughout the day. It does take a little bit of practice with filling in brows properly, but once you learn it, you are golden!
