I don’t own many lip crayons but I have to admit that they’re the easiest to apply, even without a mirror. On a recent hunt for a brown lip color, I came across Faces ultimate pro creme lip crayon 05, Mocha-licious. Feeling thirsty? The first thing I did after buying it was have coffee and donuts. But more on that later..

Packaging: The Faces ultimate pro creme lip crayons come covered in a black cardboard box which has details like expiry date, price, weight, ingredients, etc. There’s a color coded sticker at the bottom with the shade number and name on it. The lip crayon is color coded and has a retractable mechanism which means no product wastage. Also, the cap hugs the crayon properly every time which makes it handbag-friendly.

Texture: It has a very creamy texture without that slippery and non-greasy feel. Also, it feels quite hydrating on lips which makes it an ideal pick for winter-weathered lips. I don’t even see it emphasizi the lip lines.
Finish: The finish is slightly glossy initially but turns into satin after an hour.
Pigmentation: It’s pigmented enough not just to withstand the natural color of my lips but also to cover them fully. A single swipe delivers a good color payoff.
Staying power: I was afraid that this Faces creme lip crayon will not last long because of the buttery texture but that’s not the case. It does transfer but even after 3-4 hours, I had a lot of color left on my lips. That said, don’t expect it to survive a full meal.
Shade: Faces Ultimate Pro Creme Lip Crayon 05, Mocha-licious is a chocolate brown shade that should suit a wide range of complexions. It looks lighter on my lips as compared to the arm swatch. You can also see my list of 10 brown lipsticks if you’re into similar shades.

Faces Ultimate Pro Creme Lip Crayon 05, Mocha-licious is a no fuss lip product with a pigmented balmy texture and good staying power. The shade is definitely a good break from all the red-pinks.

You know, how sometimes you keep going without eating for long and then, suddenly realize you’re hungry and end up devouring 1000 calories in just 20 minutes. Well, something similar happened to me recently:
I made trips from Sephora to Colorbar to Chanel to find the brown shade which could make me squeal a bit but nope..all in vain! I made a last stop at the Faces counter and told the SA that I want a lip color resembling a steaming cup of cocoa. As soon as I uttered those words, I realized how I hadn’t eaten anything for the past 3 hours. I just wanted to run and visit the donut counter nearby. But she had already picked 5-6 lippies for me and came to me with them in her hands. It would have been rude to walk away without checking and so, I stood there patiently. Luckily, this is the first shade she showed to me and I lub-ed it (not what I wanted but pwettyy)! I got it billed and rushed out to eat. Mmmmmmm… coffee and glazed donuts! *-*
