Put the Matte Look to Rest and give Glossy Lips a Try!

If you’re a 90s kid, I’m pretty sure that you have tried a lip gloss at least once and gone through the horror story of getting your hair stuck to that product. Luckily, there has been a change in the formula of lip glosses which means less tackiness and no mirror like shine (which I did used to like once). So, when I came across Coloressence liplicious gloss Rustique, LLG-8, I thought of trying it.

Product description:

Liplicious a conditioning lip gloss that gives coverage like lipstick. Its non-tacky formula glides smoothly on lips thereby giving plumper finish to the lips.

My experience with Coloressence Liplicious Gloss Rustique, LLG-8:

Packaging: I find the packaging gorgeous. A black square shaped tube with the brand name mentioned on the front and the shade name written at the bottom. The color-coded base at the bottom is useful as it helps differentiate the shade from the other ones you own. The screw-on cap works perfectly fine. Also, this Coloressence liplicious gloss came in a black cardboard box which I forgot to include in the pictures. The sponge applicator applies the product well. Owing to the size of this lipgloss, you can fit it right into your pocket!

Texture: It goes on smoothly like a lip-balm, depositing a beautiful color minus any heaviness. The formula feels nourishing on the lips. Personally, I like a moderate amount of stickiness in a lip gloss as it tends to wear better. This is the reason why Maybelline high shine lip gloss lasts long.

Finish: It has no mirror-like shine, just a lovely juicy-wet finish. Since it doesn’t have a high shine, you can also wear it to work.

Fragrance: Unless I bring my nose close to the tube, I can’t detect any smell.

Longevity: The staying power of this Coloressence lip gloss is decent as it stays up to 2-3 hours. Since it’s not sticky, it can’t survive even light snacks. It makes no claims about being a long stay lip color and therefore, I have no complaints in this aspect. Also, it didn’t smudge. As a preventive measure, you can skip applying it on the corners.

Shade: Coloressence liplicious lipgloss Rustique, LLG-8 is a beautiful light brown shade. It looks lighter on lips as compared to the arm swatch. It contains fine micro shimmer which are barely noticeable. Since the modern camera captures details which aren’t even visible to the bare eye, you may notice these tiny shimmers in the swatches. The shade is such that you can sport it even while strolling through a park.

Pigmentation: Coloressence liplicious lipgloss is well pigmented and covers the natural color of my lips completely. Even those with pigmented lips will find it to have a moderate coverage.

Summary:

Coloressence liplicious lipgloss Rustique, LLG-8 is a flattering brown shade which can be worn alone and over a lipstick for better coverage. The staying power is decent and so, is the formula. If you despise lipsticks for your chapped lips in winters, you must give it a try. Plus, the subtle shade is guaranteed is to give you a boost of confidence!
