Innisfree Shopping in India and My Views on Their Products After Months of Usage

I came across Innisfree brand in India when I was roaming in Galleria market, Gurgaon. The shop looked so pretty and forced me to enter inside. Needless to say, I ended up shopping.. a lot. Some products were a miss and some were a hit. Since I have over 7-8 products from this brand, I decided to make a single post on various Innisfree products review India. I’m still left with 2 products to review which I’ll after I’ve made up my mind on them.

When I was shooting for these pictures, I made two mistakes:

– Included the green tea balancing cream which I have already reviewed

– Didn’t include Innisfree green tea mineral mist.

So, let me start with the review of this one first.

Innisfree Green Tea Mineral Mist Review- After 2 months of usage

I think the last time I used my moisturizer without a face mist must have been like 3 years ago. I love how my creams/lotions/moisturizers get absorbed fully into the skin with it on. I have been using Kaya refining mist since 2 years. During winters, I use the Kaya one at night and this one in morning.

Innisfree Green tea mineral mist smells divine! It has this fresh scent which reminds me of summer even during the dreary days of winter. The bottle fits easily into hands and pressing the spray can isn’t a pain. Talking of the hydration part, does it do a good job of moisturizing skin on its own? For my oily skin, it certainly does. In winters, I always use it coupled with a cream/moisturizer.

But during summer, I only use this skincare product at night and pat moisturizer on the inner side of my cheeks to prevent dry patches. At most, a pimple spot treatment if there’s a need. That’s it!

How I use it:

– If I’m using a moisturizer, I don’t wait for it to dry and apply the skincare product straight away on top of it. The absorption rate increases as we trap the water content with another product.

– If I’m using it alone, I only need two sprays. More than that and my oily skin turns oilier. I pat it into my skin and remove the excess by tapping a tissue paper onto it. If you don’t take away the excess, your dry skin may end up getting drier because of the evaporation of the hydrating layer.

– It works well even to take down that powdery effect after you’re done with makeup. Just spray from an appropriate distance and wait for it to dry.

Summary: A refreshing mist that works well for oily-combination skin types. You may want to give it a miss if you’re after a deeply moisturizing mist.

Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask Review

This is the 2nd sample jar you’re seeing in the picture. I used the first one completely and couldn’t make up my mind about it. When I went to shop again at Innisfree store, I requested for this one again as a freebie in place of something else. I started using it again and yes, it doesn’t work for me. I saw no improvement.

Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream Review

I had received a sample jar of this cream which gave me the opportunity of trying it out. The texture convinced me that it’s not meant for my oily skin. I turned towards it again when my skin got in combination phase for a few days and it still felt oily.

If you’re wondering why I bought the full-sized product then, here’s the answer> I forgot! Although I tend to stick to my loyal skincare products, I have this habit of trying out sample sized product versions on certain parts of my face. It’s one of the reasons why I got hooked to shopping at ebay.com. Huff!

I smelled it at the store and I kept mumbling to myself> Do I have a perfume in this scent? Or, maybe a shower gel?

It’s only when I bought it back home, saw its sample sized jar that I realized what I had done. I knew I wasn’t going back to the store anytime soon and therefore, had to do something about it. Luckily, my sis called me up that day asking me for a cream suggestion for her dry skin. I gave this to her and she’s on her second tub. She’s an absolute fan of how it fares on her dry-acne prone skin plus the floral scent! But she suggests not to use it before makeup application as it takes a lot of time to absorb.

Summary: Best suited for people with dry skin or combination skin type in winters.

Innisfree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil Review- After 5-6 months of usage

This one is DA BOMB!!

Irrespective of the fact I have or don’t have makeup on my face, I have been using this one every night since the last 5-6 months. I don’t think I’m going back to MAC cleansing oil. Maybe I should buy the MAC one again for comparison purpose. The only difference I find between both is that MAC one is a little more effective in removing makeup with less quantity as compared to it. On days when I’m wearing a lot of makeup, I’ve to increase the quantity. That’s it! It also works well in removing waterproof eye makeup and doesn’t sting. Neither this one nor the MAC one require a double-cleansing. I have stopped using cleansers at night. With this one, I can afford to. I just take some quantity in my hand, massage it on my face, emulsify it with water, rinse and pat my skin dry.

Result?

No residue left behind! Clean, squeaky skin without the exaggeration of dry patches on my oily skin. No follow up with a cleanser. I hope the same continues when summers arrive.

Only someone who has dealt with oily-dry skin at the same time or is still dealing with one can truly realize how big of a deal this is!

I’m so glad that it hasn’t broken me out. My only area of concern is the artificial smell. But oh well! I can happily ignore it ^_^

Summary: This is one amazing cleansing oil for oily skin in India. Works well for my oily-acne prone skin and has reduced the frequency of dry patches on my oily skin. Although one more product has contributed in this, but more on that later. If you deal with the same problem i.e. dryness on oily skin or are new to the concept of cleansing oils, give this a try! It’s the most affordable, good-quality cleansing oil present in India. If you make a purchase at their store, you can request them for the travel-sized version of this one.

Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Lotion Review- After 3 months of usage

I used the full-size bottle of it in summers and discarded it. What you’re seeing here is a sample version. Using this is a pure delight in the warm season. It’s one of the best moisturizers for oily skin in summer. It has a light-weight, watery consistency which gets absorbed into skin quickly. It doesn’t sit on top of the skin and actually, moisturizes it. But it doesn’t stop the formation of pimples on my acne prone skin. Since it made no claims about that, I’m fine with it.

Price: Rs. 1200 for 150 ml
