Sleek Makeup i-Lust Eyeshadow Palette: Review, Swatches, FOTD

When I held the eyeshadow palette in my hands for the first time, it felt like a chocolate bar to me and I just wanted to have a bite. Luckily my mom called me, otherwise the pictures you see today would have a dent.

The beautiful Gold standard i-Lust palette from Sleek makeup has a sleek and neat packaging. It has a mixture of some glamorous shades in different finishes. Laurent is a deep plummy sparkly shade with brown undertones. Coco is a deep copper shade. Margiela is a super pretty coppery brown eyeshadow in creamy finish. Vera is a gorgeous golden shade. Louis is a silvery creamy finish eyeshadow whereas Vivienne is a very light champagne shade that serves only as a highlighter purpose for me.

All the shade names have been inspired by famous designer names! So if you wear one of these shades and describe your look to yourself in front of a mirror, don’t forget to add “Oh! I am wearing Coco too!”
The formula is easy to work with. All the eyeshadows have a very smooth texture, good pigmentation and blend in easily with a few pats. There’s a nominal amount of fall out, so ensure to tap in your brush in air before you pat it on your eyes.

Regarding the staying power, the powder ones wear on my oily eyelids upon a primer and set with a fixing sprat for more than 6 hours with minimal fading which is pretty good. The creamy ones crease on my oily eyelids on their own but since I always wear them with a powder eyeshadow on top, it doesn’t bother me. Combined with a powder eyeshadow, they definitely increase their staying power and give them a better hold and intensity.
Sorry for the not so clear swatches. It’s the gloomy weather.

Eye Makeup: NYX HD eye primer, Loose powder, ‘Vera’ layered upon ‘Margiela’, Dark brown eyeshadow for crease and blending, Maybelline hyper glossy liquid black eyeliner, Sephora gold and Maybelline hyper glossy Gold eyeliner on lower lashline, NYX eyebrow powder in ‘Dark Brown’ for brows

In short, I am loving this palette! And I am especially in love with shades Margiela and Vera.
