Revlon Photoready Color Correcting Primer Review

I know a primer works real well for me when I find myself reaching for my oil blotting sheets less in a period of 8 hours and my large pores look smaller in size.

And, that’s how I know my super oily skin likes bonding with this primer from Revlon!

Product description:

Lightweight primer smoothes skin while evening out skin tone with color correcting pigments that neutralize redness and uneven color. Wear alone or under foundation.Revlon’s NEW primers are lightweight primers that soften skin and diffuse light to help minimize flaws and even out skin texture. It creates a perfect canvas so that your foundation will glide on more evenly and smoothly. Primers can be worn alone or under foundation, and are oil free, talc free, fragrance free, paraben free.
My experience with Revlon Photoready Color Correcting Primer:
The primer is housed inside a glass bottle which if dropped will shatter to pieces. So I am extra careful while handling it. It has given me mini hearts attack to me thanks to my butterfingers. The glass bottle has a pump dispenser and transparent cap which closes easily every time.

The texture of the primer is dry and drier than Bourjois flower perfection primer (Review HERE). If you have a combination of oily and dry skin like me, it’s best that you use it after patting moisturizer on your damp skin. This way it will go on smoothly and won’t emphasize any dryness on your face. It gives a clean matte finish. One instant thing you will notice with it is that it doesn’t gives that slippery feel which most other primers do and soften our fingers while application.

The pale lavender shade does contributes a bit in minimizing my redness but not to a great extent. However it does softens the look of my large open pores and helps foundation glide much easily. I can’t count the hours but I have seen a definite improvement in the longevity of my makeup after using this. I think it’s going to perform brilliantly in cool climate when my super oily skin is a bit less oily and isn’t getting a fry pan in the hot and humid weather.

Currently I own 6 primers and I can say that this is my second best choice!
