Toni&Guy Glamour Drops Serum n Reconstruction Mask Review

Toni &Guy Glamour Serum Drops Review

The one thing I always do after using it is bring my hands close to my nose and do “hmmmmmmmmm”! That’s because it’s floral scent is so enticing!

Product description
Helps prevent frizz and fly-aways and gives high shine with a gloss finish. Work 2-3 drops between palms then smooth through mid-lengths and ends of dry, styled hair or for volume and shine mix with Volume Plumping Whip in the palm of your hands before working through the mid-lengths and ends of towel-dried hair before diffusing.
My experience with it:

The serum is housed in a transparent glass bottle with a pump that comes with a lock. You can unlock the pump by moving it forward to take out the product and move it back when you don’t need it. When I poured out the serum for the first time on my hand, I was a bit scared as its consistency was thick. I thought it will calm my frizzy hair at the expense of weighing it down. But to my delight, that did not happen. I have medium length hair and I take 3-4 pumps. The serum gets absorbed quite easily and for an hour or so, leaves them smelling like a bouquet of flowers! Regarding the shine, it’s okay. I don’t see any dramatic response for that in my wavy hair but the shine is really visible when I use it upon straightened hair. I can actually see them looking polished.

Coming to the claim of taming frizz and flyaway’s, yes! it does to a big extent. And without making my hair limp. I don’t even have to wash my hands after applying it as its trace gets dried out quickly.

Toni & Guy Nourish Reconstruction Mask Review

I was dead bored of my L’oreal Mythic Oil Hair mask and gladly was on the verge of finishing it. I searched a bit for my next hair mask purchase and went ahead with it.

Product Description:
Crafting the most gorgeous of hairdos and leaving your hair cleansed and nourished at the same time is this Nourish Reconstruction Mask from Toni&Guy. Enjoy intensely conditioned and nourished hair even after a hoard of hair products have left their damage-heavy mark behind. The first step to hair repair is providing immense moisture and necessary nourishment which is promised with this mask to help you flaunt lustrous and healthy hair. The deep conditioning formula turns dry and brittle hair to soft and nourished with a smooth texture and a shiny overcoat. Paying rich care to the tips of your hair, the mask will ensure the lustrous and healthy fall of your long, gorgeous hair. After a long gap of oiling and nurture, use this mask to revive damaged hair for long lasting and beautiful results.
My experience with it:
The mask is housed in a big tub packaging which looks neat and simple. The mask has a thick creamy consistency but thinner than my L’oreal mythic hair oil mask. It has a very faint scent and I literally had to dig in my nose in the tub to smell it. I wish the scent was as blissful as their glamour drops serum.
My hair is dry and frizzy with an oily scalp. I know! It’s a beautiful combination! 😛 The pollution has definitely taken a toll on my hair and they have become even drier. The claims of this mask pretty much felt like would save my hair. Conditioners don’t do much for my hair which is why masks are my best bet.
When I first applied the mask starting from the middle to roots, I left it for 5 minutes and rinsed out. The result was much better than my previous hair mask as my hair felt smoother with less flyaways. The next time I used it for 7-8 minutes and I loved the result! My hair felt extremely soft to touch and there was a subtle shine. However I also noticed that it had weighed down my hair a bit. Nothing drastic, but people with oily hair might like to note down this aspect. I use it mostly once a week as I am more inclined towards using hair oils (beneficial in the long run) but when I do have a party to attend and need to style my hair, I go for it on those days too. The mask proved pretty good for my parched hair.

The mask does, does what it says but it didn’t wow me. My L’oreal Liss ultimate hair mask (Review HERE) pretty much did the same job except it was a little low in the hydration department.

I always ensure that I use ACV solution on a monthly basis to remove buildup from hair from these masks. Honestly, I thought it was just another fancy word when “buildup” was a hot topic some months ago. But I have to say that after an ACV rinse, my scalp becomes less greasy and itchy. Plus my hair behave nicely after each wash which isn’t always the case.
What do you think about build-up? Have you tried these products? Which are your favourites?
