My experience with it:
I purchased three shades from this range 2 years ago and this is one of them. NYX Soft matte lip cream is housed in a plastic tube with a black cap in matte finish. The shade name is provided at the bottom in a sticker form. The applicator is a little slanted. It picks up enough product in a single go itself.
The texture of this lip cream is actually a soft matte. It goes on smoothly on lips without any dragging and spreads easily. After some minutes, the finish turns to flat matte. With this finish, I thought it would be difficult to smile after a few hours but nothing of that sort happened. It is quite comfortable to wear and doesn’t make me uneasy. It has a light vanilla scent. It does emphasize lip lines being a proper matte finish and I can’t blame it for that. However, this is not the best matte lip product if you are just starting to wearing matte lipstick. You might want to start with a satin-matte sort of finish first.
“Addis Ababa” is a gorgeous fuchsia shade, with blue undertones. It instantly brightens up the face. It has a very good staying power too. With light snacks and drinks in between, it stays on well for 4+ hours with little fading. When I have to touch up, I just dab on a little lip balm first and then, blot it. Afterwards, I re-apply this. Besides, it does not tend to collect at the corners of the lips.
