NYX Butter Gloss “BLG11, Maple Blondie” Review and Swatches

Although I’m not fond of Maple Blondie, I’m quite fond of this “Maple blondie” butter gloss. I see myself reaching for a chocolate, kept on my bedside drawer; as I am writing this. Anyhow, ahem! Moving on to the review..

My experience with it:
I absolutely love the coloured packaging. Not only the packaging is fun, the colour coded packing also makes identifying it easier. The shade and number is written on the bottom of the gloss. It has a doe foot applicator which picks up enough product in one go.
The textureis a little sticky but does not feel uncomfortable. I think this is one personal call. I am a lipgloss lover so a little stickiness is not an issue with me. I like my lipglosses to stay long, so I don’t mind it. It applies evenly and is decently moisturizing. But I still like to always wear a balm before applying it as it does clings to the dry patches. It also settles into lip lines. So, watch out for that. The finish as seen is glossy and not high shine. The pigmentation is quite good for the shade but it’s not full coverage. As for the staying power, it stays decently for around two hours after which it fades. I’m glad that it does not settle at the corner of the lips. I detest it.
NYX Butter Gloss “Maple Blondie” is a soft light pink shade with apt warm undertones. It’s a perfect every day shade for lighter skin tones.

As much as I like the packaging, I don’t think I would buy more shades of it in future. For a lipgloss, it seems a little high maintenance.
