MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

What MUA Says About it:
All our beautiful palettes come with 12 complimentary shades so you can pick and choose for a variety of looks. They’re a soft, blendable texture that glides on with ease. At just £4, you basically need them all…

Heaven and Earth is the ultimate neutrals palette containing everything you need to create your gorgeous natural look. Sweep a light colour under the eyebrows and on the top of the eyelid before simply brushing over any one of the beautiful bronze shades over the lid for the easiest, foolproof natural neutral eye! (Try saying that quickly!) This palette usually sells out in the blink of an eye so if you can see this page it’s probably worth sticking one in your basket as soon as possible!

My experience with this MUA Palette:
I had ordered for this palette 1 year back when the whole beauty blogosphere was buzzing with its praises. I had ordered from MUA site only and had got it delivered within one week! As you see, the palette has a very sleek packaging with a transparent lid. Unlike the Sleek eye shadow palette, these ones have no name. The palette also contains two sponge applicators, which are missing in the pictures.
This palette contains all neutral shades which are shimmery in finish but they are not over the top.
Coming to the texture, leaving 4 shades; the rest feel a little stiff and dry. This is also why blending takes a little more effort.
Except for the 6th shade, I have tested all the shades on my oily eyelids. Without a primer, they hardly last for 2 hours. Even with a primer underneath, I can hardly see any change.
Talking of pigmentation, it is average-good. Surprisingly, the highlighting shades have a very good pigmentation as compared to others. I had to use a sponge applicator upon my eyelids to get a good intensity out of them.

Yea! A Different background again! I actually shot for this palette at 4 different locations just to get the swatches right! Turns out, I captured them best in the park 😛 So, that yellow thingy you see in the background in the below picture is a slide.. when did you last rode on a swing?

I’m particularly fond of shades numbered 2,3,4,5 and 11. Leaving 11, all of them are soft in texture and easy to blend also. Plus, they are gorgeous!

Judging by the price, it’s actually a good palette to own if you are into neutrals. That aside, I don’t use this palette much because even the shades that were soft before have become a little stiff now. And, the last thing on earth with my busy schedule I want to do is to spend more time packing them on my eyelids and blending more & more.

The pigmentation and staying power issues can be improved by using eye base./ eye primer but I can’t make the hard texture turn smooth.
