Lakme Gloss Addict Lipstick Pink Temptation Review and Swatches

Hey everyone!
Today, I’m reviewing a bright pink lipstick which I’m loving so much that I wish I could wear it every day. But it’s not work appropriate for me, so..

Product details:
Created by backstage experts at the Lakme Fashion Week for runway-ready lips, this lip gloss provides incredible high-shine in a single stroke application

My experience with Lakme gloss addict lipstick “Pink temptation”:
You know how they say, it’s always the unplanned, the unexpected what happens in life! Never did I think that I would buy a lakme lipstick worth for Rs.800 but well, I did! I just couldn’t ignore this beautiful shade and then, come home regretting not buying it and saying to myself “Should have bought it, when saw it!” This reminds me of that pretty lavender shade handbag I saw at Forever New this weekend with silver shiny bow but no chain! It was for Rs.2600 (ouch!) and if it really came with a chain, I might have convinced myself to buy it. And, why aren’t there no chains in bags these days?

Oh! I forgot! Coming to this lipstick, it has a sleek silver packaging with a transparent cap. You can see the shade through the top, making it easy to identify among the lot. The cap also shuts down properly each time. The shade name and expiry date are mentioned the bottom of the lipstick. I love it when companies mention the expiry date on the product itself, which means I do not have to note it down separately. But anyhow, I still do. Hehe

The texture of the lipstick is very smooth, light weight and not at all grainy in spite of the shimmer present in it.  It’s hydrating. It glides on smoothly onto lips but it does get patchy if you swipe it more than twice. Also, you need to have properly moisturized lips before wearing this as it has a tendency of clinging onto the dry patches. It has a medium pigmentation but covers even pigmented lips real nicely. For a sheer lipstick, the pigmentation is really good. As you can see, it has a very glossy finish. True to its name!

Coming to the staying power, it stays on for around 2.5-3 hours on its own. With snacks and drinks in between, it vanishes. I honestly don’t mind the staying power since it’s a sheer lipstick and they are supposed to last around this time only. But what bothers me is that this settles into lip lines. It is quite a turn off. That said, I knew this before buying the lipstick but still gave in owing to the gorgeous shade.

The shade is a warm pinky coral and is brighter than how it looks on my lips. My arm swatch indicates the true shade. It will suit fair-medium complexion real nicely. Even being a bright glossy shade, this just does not looks OTT (over the top) on me and brightens up my face so nicely. I love how this looks me and flatters my smile. Ehihi

             *It’s more bright in real*

Compared to L’oreal Rouge Caress lipstick (review HERE), these definitely are more moisturizing, have better shade options and better pigmentation but then, they also get patchy and settle into liplines.
