Inglot Freedom System Lipstick 02 Review and Swatches

Hey everyone!
Today, I’m going to review a lovely peachy coral shade, which leans a little towards neon!
The previous Inglot freedom system round lipsticks came in an open and close plastic casing which made having empty palettes an option but with the entry of these square lipsticks, having a square palette has become quite a must for me. Storing them in the little cardboard boxes isn’t really travel friendly. I wish they provided a refund for the round palette. It feels like such a waste!

The lipstick has got a very creamy and smooth texture. It’s very light weight. It glides on easily onto the lips. The texture gets a little dry in winters, so I always like to use a lip balm 5 minutes before applying any lipstick. I mostly like to use a brush for application but when I just need a hint of color on lips, I directly use my fingers and spread it. You won’t get an opaque finish with it in a single swipe but with a swipe more, it builds up the intensity on lips.

The finish is more of a semi matte, so it’s not high maintenance. It doesn’t bleeds or feather at all. But it does have a tendency of settling into lip lines and thus emphasizing them a little. I was expecting a fairly good wear with this bright shade but the staying power turned out to be disappointing. It stayed on only for 2 hours with major fading. It didn’t leave behind any stain. But the finish does not get patchy with time and it doesn’t collect at the ends of lips, so that’s another relief.

Now, when these used to be for Rs.250, these seemed to be a great option not just because of the quality but also because of the wide selection of shades. But since the prices have been hiked to Rs.350, I don’t feel like trying them out anymore since by shelling another 100 buck more, I can get a full sized lipstick with a proper packaging and same/more better quality unlike these ones that come in a small cardboard box. So, trying these out now is all your call.

*Please ignore the slight uneven application.. I wanted to go inside and touch up but it’s a long story of rushing inside from balcony after seeing a weird mosquito and raining afterwards*

In short, Inglot Freedom System Lipstick “02” is a bright summery shade with a smooth and light weight texture. It glides easily onto the lips but with the passage of time, it tends to settle into lip lines. Also, it barely stays for 2 hours without leaving any stain behind. Not to forget, the incomplete packaging doesn’t feel good anymore with the price hike. This is the first Inglot freedom system lipstick I have been disappointed with.
