Maybelline Color Sensational Bold Matte MAT 3 Review and Swatches

My heart’s beating fast- I just want to reach that place as soon as possible- I notice that I have drawn my eyeliner a little uneven for the third time- I am nervous and excited- I check out myself in the mirror for the last time- I rush out and take an auto rickshaw- I am blushing and smiling weirdly, which makes the auto driver nervous, so I control somehow (a little)- I finally reach- I can actually hear my heart beat-  I go from one counter to another- My eyes are gleaming- I swatch a little, I swatch some more and more till I realize my hands are in a real bad condition now- I feel the thrill I have been missing from past 2 months- Looking at all of them, neatly stacked, in beautiful different colours, some having a gorgeous packaging.. It’s like life gives me hope.. It makes me feel alive!

I’m talking about lipsticks! I was on a lipstick ban from past 2.5 months and I finally got to break it yesterday with 3 lipsticks…. One of which is this! I still can’t believe that I survived that miserable ban!
Ahem! Now coming to this lipstick,

Quick Overview
Maybelline New York presents this ‘Color Sensational Bold Matte Mat 3-Coral 325’ lipstick, which will surely add a perfect finishing touch to your overall party look. Enriched with the goodness of honey nectar, jojoba oil and Rosa canina, this lipstick will make your lips soft and supple.
Maybelline Color Sensational Bold Matte MAT 3 is a beautiful coral reddish shade. It appears more reddish on my lips than it looks on my arm. On my hand swatch, it looks a vibrant orange shade.
It comes in a matte red packaging cover with a label sticker on the bottom. I wish there was Maybelline written somewhere over the tube itself.
The finish is neither matte nor glossy. It’s satin. But after some 10-15 minutes, it settles to a matte finish.
The texture is very smooth and comfortable to wear. But it does have a tendency to cling on to the dry areas, so the lips need to be properly moisturized before wearing this.
The pigmentation starts from being medium to heavy. It’s buildable but doesn’t get fully opaque. Also, after more than 3 swipes, it gets a little patchy in finish.
It lasted for more than 4 hours on me with little snacks and drinks in between. It faded a little by that time. And, it doesn’t leave behind any stain.

^ In real, its leans more towards the reddish category.

^ A Single Swipe!

A golden tip to survive lipstick ban is to just don’t hover at all around the makeup counters when someone is checking out lipsticks and getting them swatched.. That feeling..That thrilling and killing feeling.. Makes you eat cupcakes more than your stomach can take, to kill that temptation!
