Benefit Cosmetics Benetint Lip and Cheek Stain Review and Swatches

“Luscious skin, softly blushing cheeks, dewy lips – suits every women of every age!” Enter “Benetint” for this!
Benefit say;
“The sexiest flush you can get from a bottle, innocent yet provocative, our rose-tinted lip and cheek stain is see-through colour that endures it all… even the thralls of passion.” All you need to do it “Brush three strokes on the apples of your cheeks and blend quickly with fingertips. Apply on lips and blend, for a deeper “pop” of colour repeat.”
And, I couldn’t agree more! This is the first blush in my life that not just looks charming with my acne scars peeking through but also lasts for 7 hours+ on my combination skin, with just a sheer coverage Garnier BB Cream beneath! This is an achievement for me because even with primers underneath, blushes usually don’t last so much on me. I know its winters but still!

I’m so glad for having purchased this KIT. This smaller sized “Benetint” is a 4ml product but I’m sure even this will last me quite long and I would never be able to finish it! Although people with medium skin tones will require more amount.
            Benefit Benetint is water based stain and very thin in consistency.
            It smells strongly of roses but the scent dies within a few minutes.
            It didn’t cause any acne or bumps, which I thought may occur on my sensitive acne skin due to its strong fragrance
            The shade is a soft rosy shade that goes sheer at first. This is great because there are less chances of looking like a clown then. Colour intensity can always be built up in layers.
            It’s not at all sticky or oily.
            It goes on smoothly and blends very easily too.
            With just a sheer coverage bb cream beneath on my combination skin, this lasted for more than 8 hours. I’m not saying the intensity was as fresh as freshly applied. Fading was definitely there, but I could still see it on my cheeks. The fading wasn’t uneven thankfully!
            However on lips, it stays for 2-3 hours after which it vanishes. I like to wear it with a transparent gloss on top since I’m having dry lips these days. If you have dry lips, make sure to apply a balm beneath otherwise it can appear patchy, like in mine case.

I love how this stain looks so good and natural (exactly like how my cheeks look when I dance) on me. I never leave my black eye liner but with this on my cheeks and lips, I skip it. I just tightline my upper lash line. But I like using it only when I’m having good skin days.

*Stained Fingers*
 *Have applied heavily for it to show in the pictures*

How I Use It: After applying base, instead of dotting it on my cheekbones, I draw a straight line using the brush and then, blend it using my fingers. One has to be quick lest the stain dries leaving a streak on your face! I do this three times each on my cheeks. It looks overdone at that moment for my fair skin but after 10 minutes, it mixes with my skin oil and the result is not made up. This happens with every blush of mine, if I don’t apply a strong base and mattifying gel beneath. Please make sure you apply this in the right lighting.

I love everything about this stain, except for the price! I know it’s a high end brand par dil hai ki maanta nahi!
