New Launch: Maybelline Colorshow Crayon Kohl “Noble Purple” Review and Swatches

Hey everyone! I’m again reviewing a new launch today..Yes! It’s raining new launches in India! Happy Dance :D/
My experience with Maybelline Colorshow Crayon Kohl “Noble Purple”:
I was so excited about these new coloured kohls launched by Maybelline and thought that they must be decently priced. But when I found the price, I was a little heartbroken but convinced myself thinking that these must be every bit good for their price. Well, I was wrong. When I swatched these crayons in store, I had to literally swipe them some 4-5 times to get a good color payoff on my hands. I thought it must be harder to get a good color payoff on eyes. But I still purchased one. You Know! I’m a beauty blogger and I have got to buy stuff even if it doesn’t looks so much good. Ya! Ok! Excuse! It was a mid range priced product, so that was another reason to buy it. These crayon kohls come in a retractable form with the cap adorning the shade of the pencil. So, it’s easy to locate them shade wise. The crayon kohl also goes down again in case you are wondering.

The shade is a beautiful deep blackened purple with tiny purple shimmers. This will suit all skin tones. However, ladies with deep skin tones will require multiple efforts to get a good color payoff from it. The texture and pigmentation of the crayon are ok. I have to swipe it on my eyes 4-5 times to get a good color payoff, which means going over my eyelids that much times which I don’t like to. I wouldn’t say the texture is rough but it isn’t very smooth either. It’s actually hard for me to get a neat eyeliner shape with this one since the liner is not so smooth. But talk of its staying power, which is great! I have oily eyelids and this stayed on me without any smudging for more than 7-8 hours. It would have stayed more had I not removed it. It didn’t even transfer to my crease area and no, I hadn’t powdered my eyelids. You see, amazing staying power! It gets easily removed with my Maybelline eye and lip makeup remover, the only little glitch is that the shimmers transfer around the eye area while removing it, which requires a little more effort to clean them thoroughly. For the quality, these could definitely have been priced lower. I’m just going to use this sparingly since I don’t like the tugging part.

 Pros:
A gorgeous shade that will suit a variety of skin tones.
            Easy retractable packaging.
Easy to locate because of the cap with the same shade of the crayon.
Amazing staying power on my oily eye lids.
            Water resistant.
            Easy to remove.
Cons:
            Average but buildable pigmentation.
Eye lids are tugged a little during application.
            Pricey!
This is one of the rare products from Maybelline that has me disappointed and this is because Maybelline hardly fails to impress us. Hope they fill in this void by introducing their lip crayons at decent prices and high quality! Ahaha! Wishes! 😀
