New Launch: L’oreal Professional Hair Spa Oil Review and My Torn Sweater

I visited my salon two weeks back for getting a hair massage done. Instead, I chose to get a new haircut done but in the end, because of blah and blah reason, I simply walked out with this hair oil in my hand. The price tag just made this irresistible! Also, I mostly use traditional oils only but once in a while, I do like to try something fancy!

My experience with this new L’oreal Hair Spa Oil:
I have used this hair oil for around 6-7 times and since this is just a fancy oil with 68% mineral oil, I feel the usage is quite sufficient to review this. The bottle says that this can also be used as a leave in treatment. I have very dry hair and an oily scalp. The packaging is very much travel friendly since it’s a plastic bottle and the cap shuts tightly and securely after every use. The texture is quite light weight. It almost has a watery consistency. Although if I apply this in large amounts covering my scalp and each bit of hair, it does gets greasy because after all, hair oil is hair oil! The smell is light and not at all over powering. In fact, I can sniff it only when I bring the bottle close to my nose. This oil contains a large portion of mineral oil. Mineral oil in hair care is used only to retain hair moisture, getting it detangled and for adding shine. So, if you are expecting miracles to happen from this oil, you may skip it. Since the texture of the oil is quite light weight, I like it a lot for using as a serum on my damp hair. My hair usually gets more frizzy and drier when I step outside, but with this, my hair retains their softness even when I step out. I’m so happy about this. It does not even weigh my hair down. You only need to figure out the quantity needed to use this as a serum over your dry hair otherwise they can become limp. Although when I used this as a shampoo, I didn’t see any shine or extra softness coming out of it. And, I needed the usual 2 rinses of shampoo to get rid of all of the oil.

Pros:
            The travel friendly packaging.
Makes a great serum for dry-very dry hair.
Adds softness to hair when used as a serum.
            Light weight texture.
            Controls frizz nicely.
Doesn’t makes hair limp if used in small and right quantity.
It gets rinsed out easily and doesn’t leave any oily residue afterwards.
Cons:
Not a deep nourishment for dry hair.
Not really affordable pricing for the decent quality. The other L’oreal Serum which costs Rs.120 does the same job..Just informing!
Summary:
This L’oreal Professional Hair Spa Oil would be best for people with very dry, coarse hair when used a serum because even though it has a light weight consistency, it adds softness to the hair and controls frizz nicely. As a hair oil, it’s a thumbs down for me.

You see the blue cloth in the background? It’s my sweater that’s now turn off from the shoulders. And, I can’t even tell you how many times people’s things like their watch, necklace, rings, their bag buckles have got entangled in my sweater. In fact, on my recent outing, my friend pointed out that my sweater is torn. I thought he’s just making fun of the sweater style, as guys always make! Only when I came back home and saw this in the mirror, I was like o_O
